It could be a silly mistake, ridiculous misunderstanding or just plain different level of tolerance.
I had hurt people before by just simple questioning/confirming whether did that happened, so I am now pretty careful on how I go over things.

No. When we first broke up with her then he told me he was dating her.
They only broke up because she had pity for me. She read the messages we sent to each other
and that is why they broke up because she felt sorry for me.
