yeah. i wanted to buy matching color clothes to go with my scarf. i wanna look as cool as you guys do but i think it would be cooler if i just gave some money away to other newbies. :) i am here for fun not to worry about how my char looks. I made a group but i have no members. I made it to be a portal for veterans and newbies to chat and for people to help spread the wealth. its real cool because i was thinking about how i started out not knowing how to make money. it seems the best way is to post many paragraphs. >.< i hate writing a ton of stuff but i have no complaints.

You go to the forum next to Fresh Meat - Winter Nights 2012. There are several threads there that explain how the event works to some degree. Most important is the event currency (tokens, that green little circle next to your gold in the upper bar), which you get by posting (and by playing the Chance game, which is explained in one of the pinned threads in the event forum, I think). With those tokens, you can buy certain items.

Exactly what is said above.

The more you post, the more event currency you earn. The amount listed next to the little green circle, which is next to your gold amount, shows you how much you have. You can go Here - The Special Event Store and spend that currency to pretty much get free items. The last page of that store holds the special and limited edition Event Items.

after i get a limited edition. after the event i can sell it for tons of gold or...?

Tons of gold is saying a bit much, as items aren't quite as inflated here as on Gaia and gold's a bit harder to earn, but yes, generally speaking EIs become worth more as more time passes.

You can earn gold from selling those items. But, you can also get yourself a lot of commons to dress your avatar in as well.

Some advice though - Best make sure they are going to be active. A lot of users sign up, say hello, and never post again.

Not always easy to tell, but I'd advice to wait and see if they make any posts somewhere outside their own little thread in Fresh Meat. Maybe make some friends, or gather themselves some gold and items. If they reply fairly quickly to posts in their own thread, it means they're at least still looking at Mene after they created their thread.

But you can never make a 100% sure. Some people sign up, introduce themselves, seemingly disappear and come back and become active weeks later - others are active for a few weeks and disappear then.
