Yes..like I said, the salt does make it tastes odd but apparently it does help along with the other ingredients.

I'll have to give that a go. Not really a huge lemon fan, but I can try it if it does help.

Yeah...lemons...I think they're fragrant and so I quite like lemon infused/flavoured foods if they use real lemons to flavour but I think lemon juice on its own is too sour, so I only cut a small wedge of a lemon, squeeze all the juice i can from the small wedge and then add 1/2-1 teaspoon of honey to the juice, pinch of salt (though i really prefer the taste of no salt added), then warm water, fill up a 250ml mug/cup....

Omg. I'm that person that will just take the bottle of lemon juice out of the fridge and down bottle caps of it straight. I add it to other fruit drinks too.

I used to have a habit of eating the small wedge of lemon that would come with a meal to squeeze on the food...like for example, fish and chips....I would suck the juice straight from that small wedge...I still thought it was sour, even then, so I'd probably have that scrunched up face each time...but I still like the flavour.

I think I find them too sour these days on their own...or maybe I just don't want people seeing me with the scrunched up face look....when dining in a restaurant...
Actually yesterday I was at a fundraiser event last night and there were people serving what they called 'minted lemonade'...it looked intriguing..with the finely chopped pieces of mint in the drink and the artificial green coloured carbonated drink look...I asked what was used for the green colour and it was green cordial.
Essentially it tasted like it was normal carbonated lemonade, with a hint of lime cordial and mint pieces...admittedly the mint pieces caught me off guard at first and the first sip ended up with the mint pieces tickling my throat...so i pretty much gulped each of the following 'sips' to avoid that sensation.

I don't drink alcohol unless it is for a specific occasion where to not drink would be awkward, sort of like not drinking a toast ganbei, kanpei drink...I'm sure that the minted lemonade didn't have any alcohol in it, sweet and refreshing....with an tinge of artificial green colouring from the lime cordial.

So... I am a raging ball of fury, that's how I'm doing. Not for any particular reason, but just because I am finally gaining some traction (with the help of my love Liana), in getting my newly chosen life in order. I am sending out my first assitantship application on monday. I realize, and this is personal and very much an aside, that I have an almost unearlthy rage buried inside myself, at myself. It surfaces every single time someone can do ANYTHING that I can't do. I want to be everything to everyone, and invincible, and of undeniable value to anyone else. This is completely unrealistic, and insane, and I agree with my friend liana that it is the source of the vast majority of my mania and angst in general, and is deeply connected to my weird habit of giving and giving and giving without actually requiring anything back, especially with love interests. Your thoughts on this friend? (and others, feel free to chime in.)

I don't know who you're referring to as 'friend' Feralprince, whether it is the 'friend' that you seek thoughts from or that you seek thoughts on the 'friend' in question, but I'll assume the role of 'others that are free to chime in'.
Was it a typo or did you actually intend to say that the rage [surfaces every time you CAN do anything that you CAN'T do]
If that was your intended meaning, and I know it must be a personal thing rage/mania that I personally can't comprehend (which is why I ask) but why would it anger you to be able to do something that you previously couldn't? Given that you also said that you [want to be everything to everyone, and invincible, and of undeniable value to anyone else] wouldn't being able to do something that you previously [can't] couldn't...do be an improvement and an indication that you are getting closer to being able to be everything, invincible and of undeniable value to others?
If there was a typo in what you said that changed the meaning (particularly with the can and can't) please do correct your typo and I'll try to give you my honest opinion about your rage.

How was eating half a lemon, which I presume was fresh and raw, different with salt than without?

yep, that was not a typo. If i see someone do something that I can't do, I rage, punish myself, and whip myself until I can do it to at least some degree. Or just get angry at myself for being lazy or incompetent at that particular thing and bury the feeling. I was referring to longy as friend, because she is actually my friend :P I know most people who frequent forums feel differently, and I do not judge these feelings, but I typically don't attach to people until i've met them in real life. Read their faces, their gestures, and usually they need to touch me in some fashion (in a non-sexual way i mean).

So you're saying that you push yourself so that you can do something that you see others being able to do, to the point that you will be able to do it, or to the point that you feel incompetent and lazy and down because of it?
That makes more sense.
Somehow I misintepreted what you said and that you were able do to do what you once couldn't and feeling rage because you could...when I think you actually meant to say that you have been pushing yourself hard so that you can do what you know OTHERS can.
Is that correct?
I'll give my thoughts based on my new understanding of your situation. I imagine that you want to be great at whatever it is that you see others do, that you want to do, such that you push yourself to the point where you achieve it, to some extent at least, or until you feel too incompetent to keep pushing.
I think that it is normal to see that others are able to do something that you think you should be able to do. So you push and try hard to attain the ability to do it. I would view that as you thinking that you should be able to do something that someone else is capable of...and thinking that you will strive to be able to do it too. It is kind of like viewing the other person's ability as something to aspire to be able to do too and if there are limitations in your own ability that can be improved in relation to the ability...that you would work or push hard to overcome the limitations.
I imagine that the rage probably comes in when you start feeling incompetent in your attempts to overcome the limitations...and that may result in you feeling lazy and in another way of wording it...give up and feel down.

In relation to interactions with forum users, I am honest in everything I say but I omit or at least try to not include as many potentially identifiable details about myself.
