"Well, I think we're taking a lunch break, anyway," Julie said with a shrug, looking at Clint briefly.

"Yeah, if you want food, you better get some before Cap gets here," Tony said, looking over at the girls. "Between him and Thor, this will be gone in a matter of minutes."

Maeve blinked and went over to see what was there. Growing up with an older brother, she knew better than to ignore a warning like that.

Julie got up as well and got herself a plate. Since everyone seemed to be migrating back to the living room to eat, she followed their example and settled on the couch again.

Thankfully, there were no more surprises like that while the girls worked for Stark Industries. Until, that is, the day they didn't work for Stark Industries anymore. Rather than being assigned some work when they went in, Couson had intercepted them and politely told them (in no uncertain terms) that they were going to go through SHIELD agent training.

It took the girls two years to get through SHIELD training and become active agents. Julie took a field position, although she didn't often have to go into truly dangerous situations (yet) while Maeve was assigned as her handler/paper-pusher/mother hen.

And Maeve was perfectly fine behind the handler of the pair. She had more patience for the paperwork, and Julie was more comfortable on the field. It all worked out. Now they made their way back into Stark Industries to take up their former jobs, although now they were official SHIELD agents rather than just on paper.

Maeve sighed slightly as they walked through the doors.

"It feels kind of weird to be back," she commented.

"It does," Julie agreed quietly. "And things have changed, too. I mean, it was only two years, but..." She shrugged.

Maeve nodded.

"Yeah," she agreed. Once she got into the lab, she set her things down and let out her pokemon. Gardevoir and Chandellure stretched a bit and looked around, refamiliarizing themselves with the labs.

Elsewhere, Pepper was trying to find Tony.

"There you are," she said as she finally tracked him down in R&D. "Don't forget there's a pair of new SHIELD agents being assigned here today."

Julie let out Typhlosion and Altaria as well, giving them a minute before she let out Electrike. He was still little, so she had to raise him a bit before she could start properly training him.

"Well, here we are. Again."

Tony snorted and waved it off. "They won't be here long anyway," he muttered, going back to his experiment. Because really, no SHIELD agent besides Coulson had lasted long with the team. (He wasn't counting Clint or Natasha because they were Avengers first, SHIELD agents second.)

"Yeah," Maeve replied. She paused for a moment. "I need to go find out what we're supposed to be doing." She grinned. "Try not to blow anything up while I'm gone, I don't want to set a new record for 'quickest accidental property damage form submitted.'" She headed out of the room and up to the main R&D lab to get their work assignment for the day, Gardevoir and Chandellure following her.

Pepper sighed. She figured Tony would be like that.

"Just try not to scare them off quite so fast this time," she said. "Phil is running out of agents to send us."

Julie just snickered and kept track of her three, looking around the labs again. Man it really had been a while. And she kind of wanted to play with the new tech.

"Uh huh," Tony agreed distractedly. "And stop saying that, his first name is Agent."

Pepper just rolled her eyes a bit.

"Whatever you say, Tony," she said, smiling a bit.

Maeve swiped her card at the door of the main R&D lab and slipped inside.

"Hello?" she called.

Tony looked over and blinked. He remembered her. "Well well, decided to come crawling back up from whatever black hole you fell into?" he asked with a grin, looking back at the bit of circuitry in his hands.

Maeve couldn't help but grin a bit.

"With a shiny new badge and everything," she replied, flashing her SHIELD ID.

"Fancy," Tony said with a brief grin. "You'll have to wait to flash that at Barton until I'm around, I want to see the look on his face."

"He might already know," Maeve said, putting her ID badge away again. "Agent Coulson was our sponsor for training, so to speak, so Agent Barton might already know about it."

"Even still," Tony said with a grin. "I want to see anyway."

He paused and put down the circuitry, looking at her. "So you're the new SHIELD-appointed babysitter?"

"Yep," Maeve replied brightly. "Julie and I. Although I guess I'm babysitting more officially than she is, since I'm the handler of the two of us."

Tony laughed quietly. "Well, at least I'll have entertainment," he said brightly. "Here, come hold this for a minute, I don't have enough hands."

"You need a Tentacruel," Maeve commented as she held the bit of hardware for him. "Or an Octillery. More than enough arms then."

"Yeah, neither of those would get along real well with my group, I don't think," Tony said with a shrug as he worked. "Oh, by the way, where is your partner in crime?"

"Still down in the testing lab," Maeve replied. "I was just coming up here to get the list of tests for today." She grinned a bit. "May as well do something with our time while we're here."

Tony grinned and nodded. "Well, you two should come up to the living room at lunch time," he said. "Everyone's here so you can come say hi."

Maeve nodded.

"Will do," she replied. She gestured for her pokemon, and they both got a bit closer. "You remember my two, right?"

"I do indeed, although it seems they've grown some." Tony nodded to the two pokemon. "Mine are around here. Somewhere. Hey, maybe we can get your partner to babysit them so they don't get into oodles of trouble."
