Steve wasn't as winded, but he still felt like he'd worked hard.

"That was fun," he said, grinning and handing her a towel. "We should do it again sometime."

"We should," Julie agreed mildly, taking the towel. "I'd definitely get more of a workout."

"It's nice to have someone else to run with," Steve said. He almost stumbled when Arcanine nudged him and he laughed a bit. "Aside from you, buddy."

"You mean someone who doesn't have an advantage?" Julie grinned, hesitating a moment before patting Arcanine's shoulder. "Yeah, I know what you mean."

"If you'd like, we can make this a-- a thing, I guess," Steve said, stumbling a bit over his words. It was both using the mostly-unfamiliar slang and talking to a pretty girl that made him trip over himself.

Julie perked up a bit at that. "Sure," she agreed, grinning. "Having company is better than people-dodging with my iPod blasting."

Steve chuckled.

"I guess so," he said. "People normally get out of my way when they see me running with Arcanine."

"Gee, I wonder why," Julie said sarcastically, though she grinned at him. "Maybe because you two are both giant."

Steve couldn't help but snort.

"There was a time when I wasn't," he said.

"Then you should know the wonders of crowd-dodging." Julie grinned and headed into the kitchen to get some water and start breakfast.

Steve didn't reply to that. No sense in arguing with her over it; there was no way for her to know about how he used to be. Instead of heading to the kitchen, though, he headed towards a shower, first.

Julie made coffee and then cooked bacon and scrambled eggs and toast for everyone, figuring she'd go ahead and get her grease burns and then go take a shower.

Breakfast is ready whenever you deign to grace us with your presence, she texted Maeve.

Be down soon. Maeve was really, really tempted to just text 'sleeeeeep' but she figured it was time to get up anyways. Didn't mean she had to like it.

Julie snorted and put everything off to the side to keep warm until the others came to eat, going over to take a quick shower. She neatly side-stepped when she almost ran into Steve, although she did take a moment to take in the view.

"Sorry, didn't mean to run into you," Steve said as he finished toweling his hair. He paused and blinked. "And let me just put on a shirt--" He reached back to the bathroom counter and grabbed a plain tee, pulling it on.

Julie almost told him not to but just bit her lip. Because, wow. That was a view. She shook her head a little and reminded herself what exactly Coulson would do to her if he caught her ogling Captain America.

"There's breakfast in the kitchen, if you want," she said instead, shooting him a quick smile. "Help yourself."

Steve smiled back.

"Thanks, I will," he said. "The shower is free."

"Thanks." Julie ducked back into her temporary room to grab a change of clothes and a towel before hiding in the shower for a while.

Steve made his way to the kitchen to see what Julie had made for breakfast.

Tony was out there as well, since Jarvis had informed him there was food and Lucario and Ninetails had refused to let him sleep any more. He had a plate of bacon and eggs in front of him, and he shot Steve a grin.

"Morning," he said, pulling his coffee cup closer just in case Steve tried to take it away. It had happened before.

"Morning," Steve said. At some point between the bathroom and the kitchen, Eevee had made its way to his shoulder. He glanced at the cup of coffee and then back at Tony. "Did you actually sleep last night?"

"I did," Tony said, looking indignant. "Those two made me." He pointed accusingly at Lucario and Ninetails, neither of whom looked even remotely remorseful.

Steve nodded.

"Good," he said. "You need to sleep more often."

Tony heaved a long-suffering, martyred sigh and went back to his breakfast.

"So I'm thinking we need to get Julie over earlier in the mornings. This is tastier than cereal."

Steve blinked at that.

"You can't just adopt her," he commented. "Or hire her." Although, he had to admit, it was the best breakfast he'd had in a long, long time. It made him think of home-cooked holiday meals when he was a boy.
