"Why can't I? She's already been assigned to us on semi-permanent duty, and I'm sure she wouldn't mind a secondary paycheck coming in." Tony grinned. "Bet if I offered she'd say yes."

"She's a SHIELD agent, not a cook," Steve pointed out. "And she already works for the company. What more could she possibly need?"

Tony shrugged. "I would think you'd be the one of the two of us who would know the answer to that, Steve."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Steve asked. "I'm just saying you probably don't need to throw money at her."

Tony shook his head and didn't answer, instead looking over when Julie reemerged, her hair still wet, dragging Maeve with her.

"I did warn you," she said to Maeve.

"You didn't have to set Electrike on me," Maeve replied. She most certainly Wasn't Whining.

"Oh, please, that was barely a zap. He does so much worse to me when I don't let him have a bath." Julie rolled her eyes and pulled out a chair for Maeve, making a plate for her and setting it in front of her. "Eat, I'll take of the pokemon this morning."

"I can take care of Gardevoir and Chandelure, it's alright," Maeve protested. "You don't have to."

Julie rolled her eyes and pointed to the plate. "Eat. Stop protesting."

Tony snickered. "Well, someone's bossy."

"I can be when the occasion calls for it. You ever tried herding frightened civilians with anything less than an authoritative tone? It doesn't work." Julie grinned briefly and went to go feed all the pokemon, since she was feeding hers and Maeve's already anyway. She offered Eevee a treat with a little grin.

Eevee chirped brightly and took the treat happily. She was a happy little thing, really. Maeve just rolled her eyes and started on her breakfast.

Julie chuckled and went to go feed everyone else, since she was up and not busy. She figured everyone else could use the time to have breakfast.

Once Maeve finished her breakfast, she sighed and stretched. The time in Malibu had been really nice, she had to admit.

"We all ready to go back?" Tony asked, looking at them.

Julie nodded, stretching briefly and letting Vulpix jump up and settle across her shoulders.

Maeve nodded as well.

"We're ready," she said, checking to make sure Gardevoir and Chandelure were with her.

Tony nodded and made sure his team was with him, ushering them all out to the Quinjet again. Ninetails took the co-pilot seat, sitting up and watching everything as Tony got the bird in the air to get them back to New York.

The flight back to New York was uneventful, although Maeve gave a pleased sigh when she stepped out of the quinjet and into the cooler, drier New York weather.

Julie stretched and popped her back again, grimacing a little. Man, she'd missed SoCal. She'd have to go back soon, maybe take Steve with her.

To show him the sights, of course, not because she wanted more time with him or anything, of course not.

Tony grinned briefly and led the way inside. "Hey Clint, go fill up your Quinjet, she's getting low on fuel."

"Oh come on, Stark, you couldn't even fill her before bringing her back?" Clint asked, jumping down from his favorite spot.

"I had impatient passengers," Tony said with a grin.

"Lies and slander," Julie said with a snicker. "If you want, I'll go with you, Barton."

"I got it," Clint replied giving Tony something of a Look before heading towards his quinjet. "You owe me, Stark!"

"I'm sorry, you live in my tower, Barton! I owe you nothing!" Tony called after him, still grinning.

Julie just rolled her eyes and shook her head, going to let her group out and check her phone.

Maeve was checking her SHIELD phone, making sure there were no messages or assignments waiting. Because her superiors had a habit of that; just sending her assignments out of nowhere.

Julie paused, shifting subtly to Agent mode when she saw she had a mission message waiting for her. She looked over the brief quickly, glancing at Maeve to see if she'd gotten it too. They still had a few days to prepare, at least.

Maeve caught Julie's look and nodded. She'd gotten the mission message as well.

"We have three days to prep," she said quietly to her. "I'll contact Agent Sitwell for the details, this one's from him. I think Agent Coulson might be busy with something."

Julie nodded. "Yeah, looks like. I know you'll make me my normal little info packet." She grinned briefly. "I'll look into daycare for these two, although it looks like we'll only be gone for a week or so."
