Tony snorted. "This is why we have Clint and Jules, they can cook and we can eat. I like this plan. Jarvis, remind me when it's closer to her birthday to do that."

"Of course, sir."

"Clint can cook?" Maeve asked, curious. "I knew Bruce could cook, but I didn't know about Clint."

"Oh yes, Clint can cook. Clint will cook tonight or tomorrow, and you will stay to taste. I'll admit his cooking is awesome." Tony grinned.

Maeve grinned again.

"This should be interesting," she said. She looked at him, curious. "Can you cook?"

"Nope." Tony grinned. "I lived off of take-out and other people cooking. I burn stuff. All the time. I get bored watching things cook so I walk away and when I go to check on it, it's usually black and smoking and some fire alarm is going off."

Maeve snickered.

"You must have the attention span of a Pachirisu on meth," she said. "I mean, I know our generation's been conditioned to need ridiculous amounts of brain stimulation compared to our parents, but still."

Tony shrugged. "According to Jarvis, I just have too many distractions, too many ideas at once. I'm pretty sure Ninetails agrees."

Maeve shrugged.

"Eh, you're genius, you probably can't focus on less than five things at any one time."

"Pretty much, although I think that goes down to four after a few days without sleep." Tony shrugged. "Or when I'm drunk."

"Oooh, four," Maeve teased. "I'm lucky if I can focus on two or three at once, on a good day." She grinned. "But alas I'm but a simple layman."

"Hardly," Tony said with a scoff. "You're better than half my employees. I swear, I don't know why we hire them, some of them have no clue what they're doing."

"I promise I'm as average as they come," Maeve said, looking at him for a moment. "I think even my IQ is dead-on average."

Tony just snorted. If she was that average, he wouldn't have asked her on a date, and his look said so.

Maeve couldn't help but blush a bit at the look.

"What?" she asked.

Tony grinned briefly and shook his head, instead reaching over and wiping a bit of sauce off her cheek.

Maeve blushed a bit brighter at that, but didn't stop him.

Tony looked at her for a moment before talking from inside made him settle in his seat.

"Sounds like Jules and Cap are up."

"Sounds like," Maeve agreed. She grinned a bit and leaned towards the door. "Never would have pinned you both for snugglers!" she called to the two on the couch.

"Oh come on, you know I am," Julie called back, unfazed and trying to give Steve some time to sneak away so he wouldn't have to endure the teasing.

Indeed, Steve was blushing at having been caught. He didn't, however, try to sneak away. Instead, he slid an arm around Julie's waist and pulled her a bit closer. He wasn't going to run from it.

Maeve snickered.

"I have paperwork for you both to sign, then!" she called back.

Julie blinked, surprised at that, but didn't try to move away. Hey, this was kind of nice, and less freaking out than she'd expected.

"We'll sign it later," she called back.

Tony just snickered. "Aw, how cute, Cap looks so embarrassed."

Maeve just snickered and went back to her shwarma.

Steve blushed a bit more, but didn't respond to Tony's teasing.

Tony relented a bit. "If you two want food you'll have to order your own, I think last I saw the only thing in the fridge was growing something abnormal."

Julie looked at Steve with a raised eyebrow to see if he was hungry. She could definitely go for some food.

Maeve snickered again.

"That's probably your fault," she pointed out, grinning.

Steve nudged Julie a bit.

"I know of a little diner," he said. "I mean, if you want to go with me. Small place, but they have good food. Best hamburgers I've had in a long time."

"I don't stock the fridge, Jarvis is in charge of that depending on who wants what." Tony shrugged. "I blame him."

Julie smiled a bit. "Sure," she agreed. "Sounds good to me. It's been a while since I've been to a good diner."
