I find timeskipping is good for traveling.

Ah, that's a good reason too. I don't do a lot of traveling in my stories lately. i keep a more narrow time and setting framework.

Sometimes time skips do help if you want. skip like to a few month are years in a rp I learn form past rps

I've never skipped more than one week at a time.

That is understand able in some rp's. we just time skip to the next day so everyone can catch up if it's a group rp

The more people there are, the harder it is to correlate. Different muses and schedules being active at different times. Too many different expectations.
