with the admins' campaigns to bring more life to Mene, bringing back the NPCs might be a great idea. They brought a sort of charm to Mene that made it feel more like an actual community with it's own personality rather than just another online avatar hangout spot

and having the NPC's toss out a few random gifties would help, too!

Well one reason I like Menewsha so much is that when I joined a while before the winter event, I was welcomed by the admins mods and Emilio, and other NPCs seemed active at that time, perhaps it was just them warming up for the seasonal festivities,

but it would be a shame if the NPCs faded into history and obscurity, with old uns talking about the good old days, when so and so was here that many of us new people didn't know of, reminds me of a place called... Emm what was it something like ,Goba... Or was it Daia? Ah wherever it was I don't go there anymore because the users have turned into mini cash machines that don't seem to merit the time

I know staff are very busy, and lacking funds sometimes, but of course the NPCs are real we know that, duh, but someone on a computer posts for them, other people can take over the posting surely?

hummy: that's not relevant in this forum :) Though if a hangout is truly dead people are probably wasting their time posting in it as they're unlikely to net a response.

The 30 day thing is for places like exchange threads, charities and art shops. Like we've had people bumping up an exchange thread, asking about an item for sale, when the OP hasn't logged in for over a year, same kind of issue with the art shops and charities.

Also any time sensitive topics in places like the GD and CD, and most definitely Life Issues. Things that were relevant when they were posted, but there's absolutely no point in replying in them 3 months later, etc. A late response to a LI thread could cause a lot of upset to the OP, because they're likely to see is as thoughtless. Though often it doesn't occur to people to look at the timestamp on the previous post. Particularly if it's in one of the very slow forums, where threads on the 1st page can often be from over a year ago.
