The Willow Moon Ball Planning Thread
A Summer User-run Event


Hello and welcome to the summer user-run event planning thread. We need your help with picking this year’s theme! We have compiled a list of themes that we thought might be fun and most of them having been done before for a user-event. The event will be held this summer, most likely in July. An exact date for the event has yet to be decided upon. We want your input and opinions on what we are planning. The event is for you all and it is a way for us to give back to our little online community so help us to help you.

Please send any donations to Queen Mab with a message stating that it is a donation for the user event. Thank you.

Accent/Optional Colors: Purple and Black

July 26th to August 3rd


Tentative Calendar

May 16th to July 26th
Advertise the event and get the word out.

May 25th to July 20th
Work on ideas and get things organized for games and contests so everything
will be ready to go when we start setting up the event forum.

June 1st - July 26th
Artist will work on banners for the sticky threads.


Rest of May and until the Event in July
Make advertisement banners
Raise more funds

Get event dates approved by staff.
Take final votes to break ties on ball name and mule name.
Have mule's name changed.
Finalize what games and contests we are going to host.
Make advertisement banners.
Raise Funds and set a funds goal.
Host will need to start working on outfits after the colors have been determined.
Need to figure out who it working on art for banners and who is making the banners.

Theme will be announced
If there is a tie a tie breaking vote will be done by the volunteers for the event to determine the event theme.

April 1st -6th
Votes taken on event mule name, ball name and event dates.

April 7th
Winning ball name, mule name and event dates announced.
There was a tie on ball name and mule name. Tie breaker vote begins.

April 7th - April 10th
Tie breaking vote on ball name and mule name.

April 11th
Winning ball name and mule name from tie breaker vote announced.

April 12th - 18th
Vote on event colors.

May 16th to May 25th
Finalize what games and contests are going to be held.
Please decide on a name for your thread by June 1st.

May 16th to June 15th
Work on your host avatars. When they are complete please PM them to blueblackrose or Seridano.

You can find some of the Myths here. For that theme we will probably also go back and pull out some of the stuff that has happened more recently in the Menewsha storyline.
