"I feel thoroughly spoiled by all this good cooking," Faye commented as she sat back with her own plate.

Rei snickered a bit. "Well, you know I cook in my free time, I'm just waiting for us to accumulate enough money for me to get an oven installed in a PD room. Or, you know, a full kitchen, because that would fantastic."

"Do they sell PD kitchens?" Faye asked curiously. "Because you would think those would sell like crazy."

"I dunno, I haven't seen one yet. But we have 50 of these PD rooms now, I can just as easily convert one into a kitchen, because I doubt I'll ever use all of them."

"True," Faye said. She grinned. "Invent a PD kitchen. Make a killing off of it."

Rei grinned. "I think I will. I like this idea. I'll just have to get a PD room and start buying the appliances."

Faye grinned.

"Let me know how well it goes over," she said.

"Oh I will, as soon as I get it figured out and spend a little bit testing it." Rei grinned. "It'll save us all on the road, I think."

"I think so, too," Faye said. "It'll be better than using camping gear."

"Much. Even heat distribution and a solid surface to set my pans on." Rei sighed happily.

Faye grinned.

"You're blushing, sweets," she teased. "Fantasize later."

Rei laughed quietly and got up to do dishes, shaking her head. "And a dishwasher," she said emphatically. "We need a dishwasher."

"God yes," Faye said. "That would make things so much easier." She grinned. "Design this thing. Do it now and sell it and make oodles of money."

"I will." Rei grinned. Because this was going to happen now.

Faye grinned as well and settled back into her seat. Life was good.

Rei didn't get the PD room immediately, but that was partially because she didn't have the money. But she figured Logan and Erik could make up for it pretty quick if they wanted to.

Which it seemed like they did.

Tony, on the other hand, was more motivated to earn money to fund more pretty new toys for his tech hoard. He was more than happy to take out some monsters if it meant a new tablet to gut or a few bits and pieces he wanted. Bruce was just glad to be able to let the Hulk out to play once in a while.

So of course both girls ended up accumulating decent amounts of money. So Rei was very pleased.

She was even more pleased every time Erik said he could feel metal around carried by other bishis. Sometime she was going to go investigate and try to catch one of them. Because really who would be carrying around metal besides Nik or Cal? (Especially since Robin's blades always seemed to kind of come out of nowhere and were far from permanently attached to him.)

Faye was interested to see how that would work. So she offered to hold down the fort while Rei went looking for bishies.

Rei shot her a grin and took Erik with her, leaving the others at camp. Logan grumbled but went to go fight monsters for a while instead.

So when Rei came back almost an hour later, she looked a bit dirty and tired but thoroughly pleased, a Niko walking after her sedately as if nothing was out of the ordinary.

Faye looked up when she heard them get back, and she grinned.

"No way," she said. "You did it."

"I did." Rei grinned. "After a lot of running and swearing and finding the one ditch everyone else missed." She brushed herself off. "Niko, that's Faye. We're traveling together."

Niko just nodded at Faye, looking around at the other bishis quickly.

Faye grinned.

"My Tony and Bruce," she said, motioning to her bishies. "The others are all Rei's."

Niko nodded again. An odd group so far, but not helpless, either. That was good.

"Go ahead and get comfortable," Rei told him, checking on Logan's progress with the monsters.

Faye went back to watching Tony and Bruce science. It was oddly fascinating, even if she didn't understand three-quarters of what they were saying, but she was still learning a lot.
