"Yeah...?" Faye said, nodding a bit. "I caught him maybe a month ago. Why, is something wrong?"

The guard eyed her for a few moments longer before he shook his hand and handed her dex back. "Go ahead," he told them.

"Thanks," Fae said, quickly ushering her three inside. "That was weird," she commented quietly to Rei once they were all inside.

"That was very weird," Rei said, frowning as she looked around. "I wonder what he was all on guard about? He didn't even care about Thor."

"No, he cared about Cas," Faye said. "Which was really odd." She looked at her newest bishie, who shrugged slightly.

Rei shrugged. "Maybe we'll find out in town. That's how it normally goes, anyway." She headed for a hotel.

"Yeah," Faye said, nodding. She followed Rei, glancing around as they walked. The people she saw out and about did seem tense for some reason, and the only bishies she saw were ones that she knew were very common.

Rei noticed too and eyed Thor and Loki. Loki had plucked his brother off the ground, and Logan had fallen into step behind them. Just in case. She nodded her approval.

Tony and Bruce also came in a bit tighter, as did Cas. The tension was making them all uneasy.

Rei got a room for them to share, since they could always open PD rooms to make enough space for everyone.

"Well, shall we go get supplies and see what we can hear?" she asked, her voice forcibly light. Erik shifted so he was not quite hovering.

"I think that's a good idea," Faye agreed, running her fingers over her belt, unconsciously checking to see if everything was still there. The tension made her nervous.

Rei nodded and glanced at Loki and Thor.

"We shall stay here for the moment," Loki said. "Perhaps we shall prepare a pillow fort for them?" he suggested, mostly to distract a suddenly wildly enthusiastic Thor.

Faye couldn't help but grin a bit.

"I bet the front desk can send up more pillows," she suggested. "We can ask on our way out, if you want."

Loki nodded with a little smile. "That would be helpful," he agreed.

"Excellent." Rei grinned. "Well, then, if everyone else is coming with, I'm ready to head out and stock up."

Faye nodded.

"Let's go, then," she said. Tony and Bruce followed, with Cas not far behind.

Rei headed out with Cal and Niko trailing after her, Erik and Logan bringing up the rear. Normally they didn't stay too close together, but clearly they both felt that keeping an eye on things was more important.

Even so, Rei wasn't quite comfortable as she gathered up supplies.

Faye wasn't quite comfortable, either, and she stuck close to her three as well. She could hear whispers as they went, although she couldn't catch what anyone was saying. Even so, it didn't sound good.

Rei was quick to get her supplies and pay for them. When she wasn't quite so rattled she'd see about any new cooking supplies she didn't have yet.

Especially since Cal was starting to look a little homicidal, and even Tony was looking unusually serious.

Faye glanced around warily as she stocked up on supplies.

"I say we get takeout and head back to the room," she said quietly to Rei.

"Done," Rei muttered. "I'll go take care of that." Because, thanks to Cal and his habit of monster slaying, she had lots of fun money now.

Faye nodded.

"Meet you back at the hotel, then," she said as she gathered her purchases.

Rei nodded and took her guys across to a restaurant, ordering enough food for all of them and then finding a place to sit and wait.

Tony glanced around before he moved a little bit away to try to listen in on some other conversations.

Faye noticed what Tony was doing.

"Can you catch anything?" she asked quietly.

Tony held up a finger for patience, sidling over a little closer to a gossiping pair. He was oddly good at eavesdropping.

Faye held up a hand for Bruce and Cas to wait up, and let Tony do his thing. Regardless of the outcome, this was interesting.
