It took Lea a little while to finish the code, but she did, and stored it in her personal database before she plugged herself into the system. Immediately the new program came to life, setting up monitors on vital signs, brain activity, and tracking the Extremis program in action.

Tony looked at it in wonder.

"That's the most perfect thing I've ever seen," he said, watching the monitors. "That's what the Extremis is doing?"

"Yeah. For instance..." Lea picked up a new gadget, and Extremis immediately started to dissect it and give her information, pulling up relevant files and such. She actually grimaced a bit.

Tony blinked.

"Jesus," he breathed. "That's amazing. I had no idea that's what it was really doing."

"It's about a bit pushy now," Lea said, pushing the programming away a bit as she tried to get to the actual gadget rather than all the information Extremis was shoving at her.

Tony studied it for a moment before pulling over a screen.

"So what you need is a protocol to keep it under control," he said as he started to type. "Make it ask for permission."

"At least keep it from pushing information in my face," Lea agreed. "Something not so obvious and blinding."

"Working on it," Tony said, fingers flying across the keys. It took him a couple minutes, but he flicked the finished code over to her screen. "Here, install that."

It took only seconds to install, one of the perks of being linked to a computer. Lea grimaced uncomfortably as it took hold and then relaxed when Extremis calmed down a bit.

"Better."

"Good," Tony said. "It should ask permission now before throwing anything at you."

"Good." Lea set down the gadget as a headache started to pound at her head.

"It has been half an hour," Jarvis informed them.

"Right." Lea squinted at the screen in front of her long enough to cut the connection for now.

"One of these days I want to just go diving in your brain," Tony said. "Because that's the most amazing thing." He grinned and gave her a quick kiss before he could stop himself. "You're the most amazing thing."

Lea blinked at him before she laughed a bit and shook her head.

"Well, I'm flattered you think so," she said, leaning over closer to him.

Tony grinned and put an arm around her waist.

"So, really, tell me, you're feeling better now?" he asked.

"Yeah. Well, besides the headache, but yeah." Lea grinned a bit. "Definitely better."

"Good," Tony said. He grinned. "Told you I'd fix it."

"Yes, you did. You even managed to do that," Lea said with a bit of a grin. "Now we need to help Amy."

"What, not going to bask in it for a little longer?" Tony teased. He stretched a bit. "Well, get her down here, I'll start working on hers."

"There's work yet to be done, and then I can play around," Lea said with a grin as she got up to go fetch Amy.

Tony just grinned a bit and went back to working, pulling up what he had of Amy's virus specs to start coding.

Amy, on the other hand, was upstairs, settled into a large armchair with a mug of tea.

Lea headed up to their room, where she figured Amy was, and grinned when she saw her.

"Hey there," she said, picking up one of her kittens.

Amy blinked and looked up.

"Hey," she said. "You look pleased about something. Did you manage to bed Stark again or something?"

"This one isn't so much my accomplishment as his," Lea said after a moment. "He completed my Extremis."

That made Amy pause.

"Really?" she asked, hardly daring to hope. She hadn't been entirely sure it could be done.

Lea nodded, grinning. "Really. And he's working on a version for you too."
