Amy didn't reply; she just hunched down in her chair a bit and made herself as small as possible.

Loki settled a bit closer to her until he got up to pour the water into the tea pot, which he set on the table for the two of them. He figured she could use some tea.

Amy leaned against him when he sat back down, just looking for some contact. After a moment, she reached over for some tea. He was right, she could definitely use some.

Loki just relaxed there with her, although he did keep an eye on the rest of the group. Just in case.

Amy stayed there with him, just trying to calm down and settle herself a bit. She definitely did not feel like going out into the other room, and was glad nobody came in to look for her.

Loki stayed there with her for a while longer, until it looked like the movie was getting close to finishing.

"Perhaps now would be a good time to go?" he suggested gently.

Amy nodded and got up.

"You know," she said softly, "we never did get you that ferret. We should look into that."

Loki chuckled quietly. "I would not at all be averse to that," he said with a brief grin. "Though perhaps we should wait until things quiet down again. Wouldn't want to cause too many upset at once, after all."

Amy grinned a bit.

"That, coming from you?" she teased.

Loki chuckled quietly and shook his head. "Sometimes the mischief best managed is the mischief that is not overshadowed by anything else."

Amy grinned a bit.

"I see," she said. "Well, in the meantime, we can research were best to get your ferret from."

Loki grinned a bit. "Sounds like fun," he agreed lightly.

Amy just smiled a bit at him and walked with him out of the kitchen. Going somewhere quiet sounded nice.

Loki headed back down to her room, figuring getting her settled in with her kittens for the night was not a bad idea. Especially since they could then both enjoy the peace while it lasted.

Amy went with him quietly. She sighed softly when they got to her room, visibly relaxing.

"There's nobody else on this floor," she commented as she sat down on the bed. "It's much quieter."

Loki nodded. "It is relaxing," he agreed, moving over to the couch and sitting down, letting one of the cats up onto his lap. "I figured here would be better than most other places we have available to us."

"Thanks," Amy said. After a moment, she moved from the bed to the couch, sitting next to him. Tentatively, she leaned against his side.

Loki pulled her a bit closer but let her get settled in on her own, just relaxing there. This he could very definitely get used to.

Amy relaxed against him, content in the little embrace. She laid her head on his shoulder and sighed softly.

Loki smiled and stayed there, just holding her close and settling one arm around her.

"This is nice," Amy murmured, getting comfortable. "I like this."

"So do I." Loki let his eyes close briefly. "This is quite relaxing."

Amy hummed softly in agreement. They spent the rest of the evening like that, just enjoying the quiet and one another's company. It helped soothe some of Amy's lingering anxiety over the completed Extremis virus, and she was calm enough to go down to the lab the next day when she heard that Tony had her version ready.

Lea was down there too, having done her own tests to be sure it would work. She looked over at Amy when her sister entered the lab.

Amy went into the lab cautiously, but she didn't try to back out again.

"So... it's ready?" she asked.

"Ready and waiting," Tony replied, grinning. He held up the container than held the finished serum. "Seriously, it's perfect, it's practically a work of art, lesser mortals would swoon at its perfection."
