"Alright, I give, how are you doing it?" Tony asked as he looked over her shoulder. He couldn't see anything in her codes that would dissolve his firewalls the way she was. "My firewalls are flawless barriers against such mediocre technology, there's no reason that should be happening."

"Magic fingers," Lea replied, her voice totally bland. "And this is not mediocre, I put it together myself."

"I've built better computers while shit-faced drunk," Tony said, looking at her. "I've also built better computers while deliriously sleep-deprived."

"You also have access to anything and everything you need," Lea shot back, her eyes narrowing. "I don't. I actually have to work to pay for parts, or salvage parts from other computers that people trash. I don't have the luxury of not having to worry about money."

Tony raised an eyebrow.

"Well, when you want to play with real computers, drop by the lab," he said. "I want to start working soon, anyways."

"Fine, I'll be there in the morning. Now, if you'll excuse us, Mr. Stark, we have to finish unpacking and get to bed." Lea raised an eyebrow right back at him while internally plotting revenge.

He had just given her access to Candyland, after all.

"If you insist," Tony said. He would likely be in the lab all night, so he didn't care when she showed up.

Lea nodded and started deftly shooing and herding him out of the room, because she was not unpacking while he was standing there watching. She felt frumpy just being in the same room as him, let alone actually putting clothes away.

Tony rolled his eyes a bit and sauntered out, heading back to the lab to science with Bruce for a while.

Lea shut the door, huffed, muttered something about her computer being just fine and not ancient or mediocre, and then went to go finish unpacking. She'd get Stark back for those comments tomorrow.

Amy cautiously went back to unpacking her things. She'd stayed out of the way and under the radar through the entire exchange; she hadn't wanted any attention on herself. She felt more out of place than Lea did, she suspected.

Lea noticed she didn't seem comfortable and made sure to settle in with her for the night, trying to help her settle in.

Amy snuggled close to her sister.

"He's very strong-willed," she murmured. "I could tell from across the room. I doubt I could do more than plant a suggestion in his head if I wanted to."

"Is that a good thing?" Lea murmured back. "I mean if you know you can't do more than that, is it still so tempting to try?"

"I'm not sure," Amy replied. "I want to. I want to try to push and see if I can make him break, but at the same time I know it's probably not possible."

Lea hummed her agreement. "Well, if it's not too bad, then I'd say things are going okay. Do you still have the headband or did it get lost when the AIM guys came after us?"

"It got lost," Amy said. "I don't know what happened to it, I lost track of it when they drugged me."

Lea nodded. "Alright, I'll make another one tomorrow when I'm down in the lab. I don't think I'll have it ready in time for you to go to work though. I'm sorry."

"I'll manage," Amy said. "Calming tea. Lots of calming tea."

Lea nodded. "As long as you'll be alright. You could call in sick tomorrow, spend some time getting used to things here until I make you a new headband."

Amy was quiet for a moment, weighing her options. On the one hand, she didn't want to be around people who could (and some who would) try to hurt her if she gave in to temptation and tried to bend them to her will. On the other, she knew she would be vulnerable if she went to the cafe, even though she knew she could control everyone there if she needed to. Neither option was all that appealing.

"I should go to work," she ventured finally. "Even if I stayed here, I don't have that calming tea here, I can only get it at work."

Lea nodded. "Alright. I'll make you a new headband and I'll run it over to you as soon as I have it done."

"Alright," Amy said. She was quiet for a moment. "I wish it was't such a problem... That I wasn't such a problem."

"You are not a problem," Lea said, giving her a look. "It's Extremis that's a problem, you never had this problem before the injections. It's not your fault."

"I had some Extremis even before that," Amy reminded her. "We already determined I had an x-gene before that."
