"Just a cut, she says," Tony grumbled. He looked at her. "You'll be lucky if all it needs it a bandage," he said. "You're crazy to do that to yourself, seriously."

Lea kept grumbling. All the way over to Bruce.

"What happened?" Bruce asked, looking a little startled.

"She cut her damn hand open to test the modification," Tony retorted, pointing at Lea. "Picked up an edged ruler and went to town."

When Bruce gave her a Look, Lea shrugged. "It was faster than any other test," she said. "Tony's exaggerating. It's not as bad as he's making it sound."

"I don't exaggerate," Tony protested. "Bruce, have I ever exaggerated? No. It has never happened."

Bruce gave him an amused look but didn't say anything, inspecting Lea's hand.

"We'll wash it off and put a bandage on it," he said. "And hopefully it won't get infected. You could have picked something better than an edged ruler."

"It was handy," Lea said with a shrug.

Tony rolled his eyes and went back to his work table, grumbling about insanity and people who don't see sense.

Lea let Bruce bandage her up before she walked over to Tony's workstation.

"You want this back?" she asked, tapping the arm adjustment. "I don't think I need to wear it all the time. Well, not unless Bruce likes playing doctor."

Tony held a hand out for it, not looking up from the random bit of tech he was taking apart.

"See how that modification works for you," he said. "Speak up if there are any problems. Not that there should be, after all, I came up with it. But still."

"Such an ego will get you into trouble one day," Lea said, dropping the tech into his hand. She rubbed the spot on her arm briefly where it had been before she shook herself. "Anything else you need or am I back to exploring Candyland?"

Tony waved a hand at her once he dropped the little bit of tech on the table next to him.

"Don't break anything," he said.

Lea snorted and went to go find something to work on, since clearly she wasn't just a code monkey anymore, and she hadn't actually been assigned work for a while.

Meanwhile, Loki had figured a few things out after a bit of playing with his magic, and he went to go find Amy.

Amy was sitting out on the balcony of the main living floor, a mug of calming tea in hand. It was quiet on the balcony, and she was enjoying the time away from people to just relax.

It didn't take Loki long to find her, and he sat a little ways away, stretching out on the chair. Other than that, however, he was content to wait until she was ready to speak.

After a minute or so, Amy glanced at him.

"Can I help you?" she asked.

"You wished for proof that I could do what I claim to," Loki said, looking at her and raising an eyebrow. "Do you still want that proof?"

"What are you claiming you can do?" Amy asked. "I remember you said something about being able to tell what my skill is."

"Yes, as well as being able to help you control it and control the urges dominate people." Loki's lips quirked in a little smile.

"Well then, perhaps I can change your mind." Loki reached over, putting one finger against her temple. "This may feel strange for a moment." He closed his eyes, gathered what he could of his magic, isolated the Extremis programming, and penned it in with magic so she was left with the effects of Extremis but not the programming.

Amy wanted to flinch away from him, but she had nowhere to go if she did, so she held still. She could feel something in her mind that she couldn't quite put into words, and then suddenly she felt different. It was as if she had been caught in a current that she'd gotten used to feeling, and now it wasn't pushing against her anymore. She felt like she was just floating, or drifting.

"What did you do?" she asked, nearly in a whisper, as she looked at him.

"I locked the impulses away," Loki said with a shrug. "The... programming, you called it? It is now no longer effecting you or your abilities."

Amy didn't immediately reply, just taking stock of herself for a few moments.

"I feel like I can finally relax," she said.

Loki smiled rather smugly and leaned back into his chair. The wall stayed in place, and his smile widened.

"I do believe you can, if you wish."

Hesitantly, Amy reached up and slipped off the headband. She braced herself for the rush of Extremis programming, but it didn't happen even as she gingerly set the headband down. She sat there for a moment, tense and nervous, expecting to be hit by the programming at any second. But it still didn't happen.
