"This was easier," Lea said with a shrug. "They're not too wet, so probably not too long. It's been drizzly on and off all day." She smiled when one of the kittens tried to shove its way over to her for attention again.

Amy nodded a bit, picking up the last couple kittens and drying them off. They were squirmy little things, and she ended up putting the towel into the box for them all to sit on.

"So what are we going to do with them?" Lea asked quietly as she settled on the couch, one kitten on her lap.

"I don't know," Amy admitted. "I just couldn't leave them there." She sat down and smiled a bit as one of the kittens came to properly investigate her.

Lea smiled a bit. "Well, we'll just have to keep them down here," she said quietly. "We can get food and litterboxes and stuff."

Amy nodded.

"I can go out and get them," she said. "Unless you want the excuse to get out of the tower."

Lea shook her head. "No, you can go ahead. I need to go check and see what else Stark is hiding in his databases."

"Did you find anything interesting last time?" Amy asked, curious.

"Some fun new things on Extremis I hadn't known before. Some information on AIM. And some research findings." Lea was quiet for a moment, petting the kitten. "I'm just not sure if he's keeping things from me deliberately or not."

"I don't know," Amy said. She nudged her sister. "The best you can do is keep gathering information. The more we have, the better prepared we'll be."

"My thoughts exactly." Lea shrugged. "So I'll keep gathering information, see if it helps any. If you want to wait until I'm ready to go get kitten stuff I can get ready."

"One of us should stay here and look after them," Amy pointed out. "We can't just leave them in a damp box all alone here."

"Alright. I'll make sure they don't get into too much trouble, then." Lea grinned when the kitten in her lap meowed and batted at her fingers again. "You should add toys to that list."

Amy nodded.

"Food, toys, litter, litter box," she said. She looked at them. "Enough for six."

"Yes." Lea shook her head. "You can take my card, I'm still getting paid by SI."

"Thanks," Amy said, taking the card. She could sign for her sister; she knew her sister's signature like her own. "Back soon."

"Have fun." Lea grinned and went to get her laptop so she could work and keep an eye on the kittens.

Amy nodded and left, intent on her 'mission'. It took a few hours, and she might have gone a bit overboard, but she came back with a bed big enough for the kittens to share, a big litterbox, a scratching post, a dozen toys, and a bag of kitten food.

Lea grinned when she saw everything. "Looks like you had fun," she said. "Well, once we get everything set up we can let them out."

"I might have gone a bit overboard," Amy admitted as she set the stuff down. "I got what I thought they would need."

"Hey, better to have too much than too little," Lea said with a shrug. She looked back at her computer as a kitten tried to climb on it, and she gently removed the kitten. "No, you don't get to go frolicking through Stark's databases, that's my job."

Amy couldn't help but smile and she looked in the box. Gently, she picked up the little one in the corner of the box who hadn't dared to venture out. "Come here, little bit."

Lea kept track of the cats while she looked through the research that Tony hadn't shared, and her eyebrows crept up a bit. Well, it seemed there was a lot of potential with Extremis, when it worked properly and didn't have side effects.

That was about the point that the door opened.

"What's going on?" Tony demanded from the door. "What is this, what are you bringing into my tower?"

"Plague," Lea replied, looking over at him. "Why have you been keeping stuff from me?" A few of the kittens scattered at his noisy entrance.
