"I'm sorry, but this is my tower," Tony said. "I don't recall being told to tell you everything I do." He pointed at the box. "What are those? Why are you bringing animals into my tower? This is an animal-free zone, go put them back where you found them."

"Amy found them outside, I am not putting them back outside. Someone abandoned them." Lea gave him a Look. "And when what you're doing concerns me and my sister. And it would have been nice to know that Extremis cancels out all other diseases, things like that."

"Do you see anyone bringing animals into my tower?" Tony demanded. "And how did you not realize this sooner? Have either of you gotten sick since you got injected? Or however you were infected with Extremis?"

Lea glowered at him, because she was not pleased with him and he was being more abrasive than normal. "We're taking care of the cats, and we're not letting them out to run around the tower or anything."

Tony growled in frustration and left, and Amy just watched. Clearly, neither of them was getting through to the other.

Lea watched him go and huffed. Good riddance. She contented herself by cuddling a kitten for a while. Things were just not going well for her these past few days.

Amy went over and cuddled her sister.

"You two are too alike," she murmured. "Very similar. So you clash."

"Guess so." Lea shrugged but stayed there. "I'm not getting rid of the kittens, though."

"I don't expect you to," Amy said. She smiled a bit as two of the kittens came over for snuggles. "You get three, I get three."

"Totally fair." That made Lea grin, and she picked up an almost all white kitten with two little black spots. "Hey, sweetie. Do you three want to help me invade the lab and take it over for myself?"

Amy smiled, but allowed a kitten that was almost completely black and one that was half black and half white both climb into her lap.

The other two that ended up with Lea were tan, gray and black tabby and all black respectively. Lea ended up spending plenty of time with the kittens, since the next day she figured Tony would still be pissed. Besides, she didn't actually do anything most of the time. And Amy was off starting training with Loki, giving her even less to do.

Amy ended up with a little gray, orange, and white calico alongside her almost-black and half-and-half kittens. She was reluctant to leave them in the room, but she couldn't take them with her when she went for training.

Loki was waiting for her out on the patio, since that was where they had their lessons. He raised an eyebrow when she came a bit late but didn't comment.

Amy settled down on the patio, across from him.

"So what are we doing?" she asked as she got comfortable.

"Strengthening your control," Loki said, looking at her. "I want you to feel the people down there." He made a vague motion towards the ground. "Just feel them."

Amy looked at the people. It was a long way, but she'd controlled people from farther before. She nodded and settled in to focus.

"Just feel them," Loki reminded her. "No need to control them. That is not today's challenge."

"I can feel them," Amy said softly, eyes half closed. "There are so many of them... most of them easy to control as sheep."

"Yes, they are," Loki agreed with a little grin. "Most people are sheep. They follow unthinkingly, and they require a leader. Now, focus inside the tower and tell me what you feel."

"So many sheep," Amy murmured. "And several very strong minds. So very strong."

"The strong ones are the hardest," Loki murmured. "They are easiest to simply give suggestions. Focus on the strong minds, see if you can figure out who is who."

"There's... In the next room. Strong, but carefree, although a little sad," Amy said. "Downstairs... Quiet strength, and another that reminds me of my sister. And two further off that seem to mesh well together, although... One seems softer than the other. Easier to push at. And the last is very firm, protective somehow."

"Good." Loki was pleased she could already tell that much just by feeling people out. "Now connect those feelings with people, figure out who is who."

"I..." Amy frowned slightly concentrating. "The one that reminds me of my sister... Tony?"
