"Hey, what are you-- My AI! Jarvis, why are you taking orders from her, you're mine, this is blatant treason," Tony sputtered.

"I wasn't aware you considered her some sort of enemy, sir," Jarvis replied. Lea snickered and hurried upstairs to get a few things packed.

Because she wasn't going to admit to Tony that she'd spent hours talking to his AI.

Tony sputtered incoherently for a few more moments before giving up and heading to his suite to pack a bag, grumbling to himself.

"Amy? You around?" Lea looked around their suite, bending down to greet the kittens.

"In here," Amy called from the bathroom. She was lounging in a hot bath, with her little calico kitten crouching on the edge of the tub, batting at the water.

Lea went to go sit by the tub. "So I've been invited to Malibu," she said, letting two of her kittens settle in her lap. The mostly black one perched on her shoulder instead.

"Malibu?" Amy asked. "What's out there?" She looked at her sister curiously.

"Apparently Stark has a house out there. He invited me there with him." Lea shrugged, still a little mystified. "Said he wanted someone who could keep up when he talked, basically."

"Are you going to go?" Amy asked. It was a legitimate question.

"I... think so. I think I need to work some things out with him. And it's the first time he's actually approached me since the kitten incident." Lea paused. "Plus I got the feeling if I said no he'd just drag me on the plane without a bag."

Amy considered that for a moment before nodding slowly.

"Alright," she said. "Be careful, then, alright?"

"Oh don't worry, I will be. I'll be taking fake IDs and things with me in case I need to leave." Lea smiled thinly.

Amy nodded.

"Keep in touch," she said.

"I will. Good luck with your training." Lea got up again to go pack up and get ready to go. So when Jarvis informed her Tony was almost ready to go, she was able to take her bag upstairs and be ready.

Tony was on the phone when Lea got there.

"Peps, since when have I ever cared what the press thought?" he was saying. "I'm going back to Malibu for a few days, that's it. Just itchy feet, I swear, a week, tops." He paused. "I'm not ducking out on anything, I told you I wasn't going to that meeting, and how is any of this unusual, honestly, Peps. No, really, vacation starting in three, two, one, bye!" With that, he hung up and glanced at Lea. "Ready to go?"

Lea looked amused. "Were you just being scolded by Pepper Potts?" she asked, grinning. "Really? No wonder you made her your CEO."

Tony snorted and waved a hand.

"Pepper is always scolding me for something or other," he replied. "She's CEO because she's damn good at the job."

Lea shook her head. "Not to mention she's good at keeping track of you. Someone needs to, after all."

"I do not need to be kept track of, I manage just fine on my own," Tony replied. "Now come on, chop chop, Malibu is waiting."

Lea snorted and followed him over to the quinjet. She set her bag down and moved up to the front curiously, inspecting but not touching.

Once they were on the jet, Tony gave the pilots the all-clear to take off. The sooner they got to Malibu, the better, really.

Lea meandered back to her seat after a few minutes, still peering around curious. Because she hadn't exactly been on a private jet before. Ever. She was quiet all the way to Malibu though, looking at Tony as they got off the jet.

"So how are we getting to this house of yours?"

"There's a car waiting," Tony replied easily, gesturing to the convertible that was sitting on the tarmac.

That made Lea pause. Because, really, he just had a convertible waiting for them? She shook her head a bit and took her bag, walking over to the car and whistling softly. It was the kind that she didn't want to touch for fear of breaking something and not being able to pay for it.

Tony went and tossed his bag into the front seat.

"Well?" he said. "Hop in."
