Lea got the pizza when it arrived and brought the boxes down to the workshop.

"You can serve yourself. I'm sure you know what kinds there are." And she would have protested two boxes of pizza for just the two of them, but she knew that cold pizza was great when you were working.

"No, what kinds are there?" Tony asked as he put the finishing touches on a working prototype. "I told Jarvis to surprise me."

"This one looks kind of Mediterranean, it's got spinach and olives and artichokes and all sorts of yummy things. And this one is three meat and cheese." Lea took a slice of the Mediterranean for herself.

"Meat-lover's," Tony said promptly. "Gimme." He held out a hand, and then paused. "Damn it, I really need to just bring Dummy with me next time. He'd have handed it to me."

Lea snorted and slid a piece of pizza onto a plate for him, handing it over. "If you're nice I'll even grab you a drink."

Tony looked at her, his expression a little teasing.

"Well, then, this is me being nice," he said, and he grinned brightly at her.

Lea snickered at that. "No, that's you being camera-ready," she said, even as she walked over to the fridge to get herself a water.

Tony snorted.

"It takes two hours and a team of stylists to get me camera-ready after a day in the workshop," he replied. "I know this because Peps unleashes it on me once or twice a month."

"That's because the public apparently doesn't have the clearance to see the grease under your nails and in your hair. And the pizza sauce in your goatee." Lea smirked.

"Apparently there are people who actually care what the public thinks of me," Tony replied. "Can't imagine why, the press can't possibly hate me any more than they already do."

"Oh yes they can. You should see what they do to some other celebrities." Lea shook her head. "You they bad-mouth. Some other people they filet alive."

Tony snorted.

"Same difference," he replied, taking a bite of his pizza.

Lea snorted and shook her head, drinking about half her water in one go. She was thirsty.

"So are you planning to stay down here all night?"

"Probably," Tony replied. "Depends. How much longer is 'all night?'"

"Until the sun rises again." Lea snorted. "Jarvis, what do you think?"

"Sir is rather fond of pulling all-nighters when he is home and has a project." Jarvis sounded amused.

"And how much longer till sunrise?" Tony asked, raising an eyebrow. "Come on, numbers, I love numbers, lay 'em on me."

"Seven hours and approximately ten minutes." Lea's lips quirked in an amused grin.

Tony shrugged.

"I can fill that time, easy," he said.

"Somehow I'm not surprised." Lea had that too sometimes, although she was more used to Amy keeping her on a regular sleep schedule.

Tony just grinned a bit and turned to head back to his lab, taking his pizza with him.

"Feel free to settle in where ever," he called over his shoulder.

Lea rolled her eyes and went to go sit outside and eat. Really, she didn't get why he'd brought her along if he was just going to be in his lab the whole time.

Tony ended up being in the lab for a while; he came back up well after midnight for some coffee, but went back down quickly.

Lea stayed up as long as Tony did, working on a tablet and starting to get the code down for a project she was working on. She occasionally asked Jarvis for some input, but mostly worked in silence.

Even with the coffee, Tony was bullied by Jarvis into taking a quick nap on the cot in the lab. Even he could admit when the AI had a point, and Jarvis had pointed out that Tony hadn't slept in three days. Tony would go longer than that, but then things like repulsors and coffee machines ended up merged. So he slept a bit.

Lea was still awake when she was informed by Jarvis that all wasn't well in the lab. So she darted down there to figure out what was going on.
