"Just waiting for you to say the word, bright eyes," Tony said. "Where are they?"

"Here." Loki handed over a piece of paper, the remains of a map with their location on it. The rest of the map had been burned away.

Tony raised an eyebrow at the fragment of map.

"What happened to the rest of it?" he asked.

"It wasn't necessary." Loki raised an eyebrow right back at him. "I can sit here and attempt to explain magic and spells to your technology-centered mind, or we can go get the girls."

Tony gave Loki a flat look, but gestured to one of his cars.

"Get in, then."

Loki settled in gingerly. He didn't trust this moving thing, but he would suffer through it. Only because he had to.

Tony couldn't help but smirk a little at that. So, there really were a couple of things in the world the almighty Norse god didn't like. Good to know. Once they were both in the car, he took off towards the location Loki had pointed out.

Loki stayed quiet through the trip, instead watching the shift into countryside. Well, that was interesting, and he had to admit he hadn't expected that.

So when they got to the RV area where the girls were still holed up, he just blinked once and got out of the car.

Amy could tell as the two got closer, and she cautiously peeked out the window.

"Hey," she said to Lea. "I think we were found. Stark and Loki are outside."

"Great." Lea stretched and moved a kitten off her lap. "Well, it was fun while it lasted. I can probably cripple his car if you want to make a speedy get-away."

Amy hesitated for a moment.

"Actually," she said carefully, "I was kind of thinking maybe it's time to go back."

"Okay." Lea gave in just like that, because she'd kind of been missing the Tower herself. She moved over to the window to peek and see how pissed Tony looked. "Long as we're not about to get yelled at, anyway."

"Do you want me to go out first?" Amy asked. "I might be able to get in and smooth things over a bit."

"Nah, that's okay. He doesn't look homicidal." Lea grinned and opened the door, carefully keeping the kittens in as she stepped down out of the RV.

Loki hung back a bit, content to be patient now that he was here. He didn't want to scare Amy, after all.

"What the hell?" Tony burst out as soon as Lea was outside. "You left without a single word, how is that in any way a good thing? I thought you wanted this shit to be fixed?"

Amy watched from a window, cautiously reaching out and smoothing over some rough edges in Tony's mood. Then, just as cautiously, she reached out and delicately touched Loki's mind. She couldn't do anything to him, but it would give her an idea of his mood.

"I've been giving you two time to work on it," Lea said with a shrug. "Besides, it's nice out here. It's quiet."

Loki was relaxed so far, just waiting. He could wait as long as it took, after all.

"It was quiet at the lab, too," Tony pointed out. "When things weren't exploding."

After a few more moments, Amy crept out of the RV, making sure none of the kittens escaped.

"No, not the same kind. There's things all over the lab, all your bots and your technology and it's so damn loud even when there's nothing going on." Lea shook her head. "You don't understand."

Loki just waited patiently for her to approach, because he was more level-headed than Tony.

"Then explain it to me," Tony said. "Because right now, I really don't get it."

Amy looked at him, and then walked over quietly. She didn't say anything for a moment.

"I don't feel smothered out here," she finally said softly.

"Technology isn't just there, Tony," Lea said quietly. "I can feel it. It's like buzzing in my mind. I can feel your Arc reactor right now humming at me."

Loki nodded. "I understand," he said quietly. "It is nice out here. I do not blame you for wanting to get away."

Tony considered that for a moment. It made sense, considering how she had reacted in his lab when he'd gotten her back to the tower.

"Honestly, if you needed to get away you could have said something," he said. "I'm sure I could have found you a better place than an RV in the back end of nowhere."

"I feel like I can finally breathe out here," Amy said. "Like I'm not being crowded."

"An RV in the back end of nowhere was exactly what I needed," Lea said with a little shrug. "It's nice and quiet, there's no technology for a mile and a half, it was very nice."

Loki nodded. "Yes, I imagine being away from the press of minds would be quite nice."

Tony made a small sound of frustration.

"Seriously, say the word and I'll have a house built or something," he said.

"It was," Amy agreed.

"Why?" Lea frowned at him. "It was a lot easier for me to just do this. Really, Tony, it's fine."

"Good." Loki was quiet for a few moments. "Are you prepared to come back, then?"

"Because," Tony said. "Just because, okay?"

"As prepared as I can be, I guess," Amy said. "Can't stay away forever."
