Bruce, as brilliant as he was, was having some trouble pinning down exactly what the Extremis was doing to Lea's system. He found the virus easily enough, but every time he introduced something to fight it, the virus simply engulfed and eliminated the antivirus before going back to work perfecting Lea's cells. It was really kind of irritating that he couldn't figure it out.

Lea was getting a bit antsy again already. Being surrounded by Tony's tech didn't help much, although her little bot did help.

So when Lea got a little headache and started muttering about going off to find a little place in the middle of nowhere again, the bot ran off to find Tony and chirped at him. Incessantly.

At first, Tony wanted to ignore the bot. The little thing, while kind of cute, was also as hyperactive as a sugar-rushed hamster sometimes, and he didn't need another annoying bot around. But when it didn't stop chirping at him, he stopped what he was doing and looked at it.

"What?" he asked.

The bot chirped at him again, zoomed a few feet away, and chirped at him imperiously, because clearly he needed to follow.

"Pushy little bot," Tony muttered as he got up and followed the little thing.

The bot zoomed back over to Lea, who was pacing her little section of the lab looking about ready to start throwing things or take another vacation.

"Of all the places on the face of the earth, I had to pick the one place with the most technology," she muttered. "I couldn't go to India or Malaysia or Brazil, I just have to be staying in Stark Freaking Tower."

"You're not thinking of leaving again, are you?" Tony asked when he saw Lea. "'Cause I'm sure I can find a hundred better places for you than the Middle of Nowhere, USA, if you want to go."

"I'm thinking about it, but I haven't decided yet." Lea shrugged. "Bruce hasn't been able to find anything to help with my Extremis yet and I'm feeling twitchy again."

"Make sure to let me know," Tony said. "I can send you anywhere in the world you want to go, just name it, you can be on the first flight out."

"I still don't understand this, but okay," Lea said slowly, picking up her bot again. "I'll think about it."

"What is there not to understand?" Tony asked. "Am I not allowed to do nice things for people? Am I some sort of anti-nice douchebag?"

"That depends on who you ask," Lea said with a little grin. "I'm sure some people think so."

Tony just rolled his eyes and didn't grace that with a response.

"Just let me know if you're planning on running again," he said.

"Like I said, I'm thinking about it, and it's an appealing thought." Lea shrugged. "Why, you thinking of taking a vacation? Or just trying to keep tabs on me?"

"A vacation isn't a bad idea, but no," Tony said. "I just want to know where you are, that's all, is that a crime now?"

"Not that I know of," Lea said. "But, hey, maybe you could use a vacation, I've seen Pepper more times this week than the last month."

Tony waved a hand.

"There's a major contract being worked on," he said. "Something about circuits and smart-tech, and I'm working on some prototypes, that's why she's on my back about it." He looked at her. "Seriously, though, if you need to go somewhere, say the word and I'll get you a ticket."

"Not yet." Lea shrugged. "Need any help with those prototypes? Maybe I could take a look at the design?"

"If you want," Tony said. "They're simple enough, basic recognition software and things like that, but if you want to take a look that's up to you."

Lea nodded, setting down her bot and heading back over to Tony's area. Her programming was practically purring with the thought that she'd get her hands on some of his software.

Tony handed her one of the prototypes to play with while he worked on the other one. He didn't mind much, this time, since the gadget would eventually go into mass-production, and it was clearly StarkTech, anyways, so nobody could really steal it without him finding out. So he let her play with it.

Lea played around with it for a bit before she found a bug. She fixed it without even really thinking about it, testing it several more times and continuing to fix it when it tried to break.

Tony kept an eye on her, although he was grudgingly impressed. Not everyone had such an instinctive knack for electronics like that.

"Hey, Jarvis, it's too quiet, can you turn on something? Music ish? Whatever he listens to."

"Of course," Jarvis agreed, obligingly turning on the music for her.

Tony smirked a bit as some rock started to blast. He liked his rock; classic or modern, it didn't matter.
