Amy blinked and watched the door as it opened by itself, and then cautiously stepped through the doorway.

"My sister made cookies," she said, holding out the napkin-wrapped bundle. "I thought you might want some."

"Ah. Home made cookies." Loki smiled a little. "Thank you, Amy. It's much appreciated."

Amy smiled a bit in return and handed them to him.

"I figured I would bring these to you and get out of the kitchen while I could," she said. "Before the other five realized it wasn't strictly their idea to check for cookies."

Loki snorted at that. "Well, they are difficult to manipulate," he said, taking the cookies and looking at them for a moment before nibbling on one.

"I got most of them," Amy said. "It was just Agent Romanov that really noticed."

Loki nodded. "She is particularly aware," he said. "Captain Rogers is usually more difficult to fool, although his willingness to believe in the best in people does work in your favor."

"He looked a little confused when he walked into the kitchen," Amy said. "Like he wasn't sure what he was expecting." She paused for a moment. "Although Doctor Banner didn't show up at all."

"Ah," Loki murmured, nibbling his cookie. "I have noticed that his... other half seems to deflect mental manipulation. If I may suggest, it would not be a good idea to do any more roaming in his mind; his other half may try to... eliminate the potential threat."

"I'll be more careful," Amy said, nodding. "Romanov already wasn't pleased, I'd rather not have the Hulk after me too."

"That does sound like an excellent idea," Loki agreed, his voice mild. "So, did your sister come to any sort of decision?"

"Not yet," Amy said. She was quiet for a moment. "She's not sure if she even wants to go at all."

"Perhaps she feels unwelcome," Loki said quietly. "I do not know that my brother has spoken to her overmuch, and I'm unsure how she and Stark are doing."

"I think she and Tony are doing alright," Amy ventured. "But I'm not sure about the rest." She was quiet again. "I don't want her to be left behind, but I don't know how to convince her to come with us."

"Hmm." Loki frowned. "I could try talking to her, if you wish." He didn't really have any other ideas, as he didn't have reticent sisters to deal with.

"I suppose it's worth a try," Amy said. "I just don't want her to be left out."

Loki nodded. He kind of understood that, kind of. But he was more willing to try to make Amy happy.

Amy cautiously settled in on a nearby chair, just content to be near him for the moment.

"So what is Asgard like?" she asked softly after a moment.

Loki paused, puzzling over that question. How to describe it to someone who had never been before?

"It is... magnificent," he said slowly. "It is grand and huge, larger than this city, with views unlike anything on this realm." He shrugged.

"Because that's very specific," Amy teased gently. "I want to hear about Asgard as you know it."

Loki smiled a bit. "I have explored much of Asgard as a boy," he said quietly. "There is a wonderful stable that is quiet for thinking, has good hiding places to scaring my brother, and the horses are good company. There are mountains, and many passages through the mountains. The court, the city, is more formal, but it's not so bad. People are more careful with their words, but it is not impossible to twist their meanings."

Amy listened closely, fascinated.

"What else?" she asked.

Loki smiled a little. "There is plenty for you to discover on your own," he said. "Plenty of things that I could show you. I'd rather not spoil it all."

Amy smiled just a little.

"I'd like that," she said. "I want to see it."

"Well then, if I am able, I'll give you the grand tour once we get there." Loki smiled, satisfied with that.

Amy smiled.

"Thanks," she said. "I'll look forward to it."
