Amy just looked at him for a moment.

"I didn't think such a thing was possible for a human," she finally said. "It shouldn't be possible."

"For a normal human, it would not be," Loki agreed mildly, looking at her. "But you are hardly normal, are you?"

"I suppose," Amy admitted. It wasn't something she particularly liked thinking about. "A lot of that is Extremis, though."

Loki shrugged. "As I have said before, your natural talent would be stronger if you used it more," he said. "Besides, I do believe your sister is busy working on ways to... be rid of Extremis. Or work around it, perhaps."

"She doesn't like having it," Amy said, nodding. "I'm just... more used to it. I've never not had it."

Loki nodded. "While true, this most recent dose has upset you," he observed. "Perhaps her research is something you should look into more?"

"The upgrade was... intense," Amy admitted. "It's not the same as it was before, the formula is different. But what would work for her won't necessarily work for me because of the x-gene."

"I know. I do understand that much about the programming." Loki smiled wryly. "The inventors were clever."

"Too clever for their own good," Amy said. "Too clever for anyone's good."

"Indeed." Loki sighed and shook his head. "But perhaps that is a discussion for another time. It is late, and you have had much adjusting to do already today. Perhaps for now sleep would be best."

Amy almost protested, and stopped. Then she nodded a bit.

"Alright," she said softly. She couldn't help but feel like she'd said something wrong.

Loki smiled a bit. "Get some rest," he told her quietly. "Tomorrow, if you still wish it, I will show you some of my favorite places here."

Amy nodded.

"I'd like that," she said. Cautiously, she made herself comfortable on one side of the bed, near the edge. She didn't want to take up too much space.

Loki nodded and went to go get ready for bed as well, trying to give her time to get comfortable. The bed was big enough to fit four people, after all; there was more than enough room for her.

It took Amy a while to relax, although the bed helped; it was a really, really nice bed. She'd never slept in one more comfortable, and it went a long way towards helping her sleep.

Loki did eventually get some sleep as well, although he was careful, yet again, to not push the boundaries of anything, just in case. Not that he didn't want to, but he didn't think she wanted to.

Amy was glad that he kept a little distance between them; she wasn't sure how she would handle it if things moved too fast. She wasn't even sure of what she was feeling at the moment, and she didn't want it to get out of hand.

The next morning, Loki got up at his normal time but let Amy sleep as late as she wanted, amusing himself with a book and planning where they'd go for the day. Definitely places with fewer people; that was a must. He had some ideas that he thought would work well.

Amy woke when other people in that area of the building started waking and getting active; the mental buzz of minds waking up nudged her out of sleep and she sat up.

Loki was playing with a few little balls of light absently as he read, though he did glance over when he saw her sit up.

"Morning," he greeted. "There's food in the smaller dining area for you and the other humans if you'd like."

"Morning," Amy greeted. She considered the notion of food briefly, and then nodded. "Breakfast would be wonderful." Getting up, she gathered up some of her clothes, and slipped off to change into them.

Loki gave her privacy to do so, instead pulling on proper shoes so they could go exploring after breakfast. He waited for her to emerge before he led her off again.

Amy came back out dressed and ready, and she followed Loki to where breakfast was being served. At least she recognized most of the foods being offered, and she felt safe enough to take a little of everything to try.

Loki didn't take much, instead watching the others filter in slowly to get their breakfasts. He did give Amy all the time she wanted though.

Thor glanced at his brother knowingly. Loki was hovering near Amy, much like Thor noticed himself doing whenever he was around Jane. That was an interesting development.

"Any plans today, brother?" he asked, going over to Loki and grinning.
