Agreed. It's easy to assume a lot from what people don't say, but just because people don't respond right away doesn't mean they are actively ignoring you. In any conversation it can be hard to get people connected. Just try to get into conversation and don't sweat it, and it usually works out.

i always look at fast threads like i do a party
i can't talk to everyone all at the same time,
i chit chat with whomever is close to me.
that way no one feels left out.
