Another one, the second aeon that was firey and came up out of the ground... I named him Samson... who was a baby horse who didn't live more than a day and died weak and tired. As an aeon, he was the right color (orangish) and full of vigor, what he would have been if he could have gotten proper milk faster.

Oh no! That is horrible :( I can't express just how incredibly sad that is. And mother horses are so amazing with their young. I bet she yearned to be a good mother for her baby too.

It does... because horses are awesome... just like the beautiful aeons in FFX... which is an awesome game... If I was to start another FF game, which would you suggest I try next?

ohohoho, A FF thread. I've pretty much played them all. Except for XIII-2 and XIV.
I won't touch on what I think about I, III, IV, V, and VI, because I love them(and wish Nintendo would release some of them on the 3DS virtual console).
FF II sucked. Not the US version of FF IV, mind, but the original FF II.
FF VII. If they revamped the visuals to be XIII quality, then this would STILL be a very good game.
I liked FF VIII, except for the junctioning system. I loved the whole encyclopedia, where you could get bits of info on the game's storyline.
FF IX was a love song to the old school. If you hate IX, you have no heart, and should go stand in a corner until told otherwise.
FF X and X-2 were okay. Keep in mind that X was the first game on a new system, so of course it's gonna be flawed. And X-2, while... um... girly, was a good enough game.
FF XI: grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, never really get anywhere, grind, grind, grind... sorry, I was pretty much describing the solo experience on FF XI. Maybe it's be worth it if Squarenix went free-to-play on this one, but I highly doubt that'll ever happen. -_-;
FF XII: hey, they got .hack in my Final Fantasy. Maybe that's why I love this one so much. Voice cast kinda sucked, though(but it had Judge Zaphod Beeblebrox*, so it evens out).
FF XIII: Beautiful looking game, but oh, how the bosses can ra... er... annihilate you. The second encounter with Barthandelus is a perfect example. But I still wanna get this when I get a PS3. Plus I have an autographed collectors' guide, so... :D
FF XIV: Man, I've never even PLAYED this one, and I think it's a train wreck. Of course, I don't have a PC that can RUN it, so...
um. that's it, really.
(*seriously. The guy who played Zaphod in the BBC TV version of The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy voiced one of the Judges in FF XII. I kid you not. I forget which one, though. I think it might be Ghis? )

lol, it is but also it gives me an idea. I have only played FFX and FFX-2. I prefer the first. The second was too girly for me, and I am definitely female.

Technically, FF X, but summons in general were introduced in FF IIIj, if I remember correctly.

My favorites are 7-9. I don't refuse or reject anything past them (10 and 10-2 are the only later ones I have, but that's due more to finances and low interest rather than adamant refusal), but I do miss those a bit. It's hard to explain, but those three had a certain feel to them that was similar throughout them. All the more recent games that I've seen have a totally different feel. But it wouldn't be fair of me to expect them to keep doing the same type of world over and over. I just need to adjust my expectations so I can approach any new game as a new game, rather than hoping for something old and familiar.
I will say the world in 10 and 10-2 was really beautiful.

I've heard that 7 was good and that 13 was good. What was it about 7 that you liked Cherry? Does anyone know what made 13 so fabulous?

I liked the environment of 7 a lot. It's hard to describe, having been so long since I played it. I tried to play it again recently, but had trouble getting into it... the graphics are painfully dated. I wish they'd remake that game, but I think they've said that they won't. :/ Or so I was told by an ex who had played nearly every game in the FF franchise multiple times (not just the numbered ones, like every game in the franchise).

I actually like the way FF7 was drawn. I find that the storyline is more important in the long run and sure they moved a bit jerky from time to time but for it's time it's pretty good.
