Nah, not worried, just wondering if you were on when I wasn't! Like you, kids are home and in my face! Just lucky to pop on here once in a while and thought you'd be going through the same thing.

The parental nagging does not stop. Ever. I haven't lived at or near my folks home in close to 20 years and they are nagsters.

Ugh I hope I DONT nag at my boys like that. I think once you are out of your parent's house whatever you do is your problem, not theirs. We all have to learn somehow and the best way I think is trying it out for yourself. *shrugs*

Ugh I'm so heartbroken. One of my friends from high school lost her only son last night. They are pretty sure he drowned in a lake that her friend took him fishing at. He was in the water and she went after him; she drowned and now they are looking for the little boy. :( He was friends with Kaleb. I just don't know what to think about it all.

I just know that my dad is really going to lecture me about our new swimming pool. And I keep thinking about what they could have done different to prevent all of that from happening. It's just heartbreaking. :(

Your boys should be fine in a swimming pool as long as you keep a watch on them. They know how to swim, right?

I guess they did find the little boy at the bottom of lake. I just can't imagine how scared he was during his last breaths. I'm just really shaken up over it and a little angry. I mean we never really did anything with the family, but I am friends with his mother. I just can't imagine being five years old, what would you think about before you drowned like that? Ugh it's terrible. Kaleb saw the picture of the little boy they were using to try and locate him and knew who he was right away. I don't know if I should tell him what happened or not.

No, I don't know how to swim, but the pool isn't deep. It's only two foot deep and when they stand up it just goes up to their hips. they aren't allowed in it unless I am outside with them. And they aren't allowed to put their face in the water, once they do they are out. Jacob is the only one who has been pushing the rules. Kaleb is too afraid to get his ears wet, even though he has ear plugs in.

omg That's horrible. I'm seriously almost in tears. Anytime I hear about that sort of thing I just think of my daughter in that situation and just no.

Working mostly. On art and other things. My daughter is going to be doing a walk a thon with her class so I donated a bit to that. It's also getting to Grad soon. We have a dress all picked out for her. :)

My sister wouldn't put her head under water for ages. She kind of doggy paddled. And then one day at a hotel pool, she just...did. I like to swim on the veeerrry bottom of the pool. I have since I learned to swim. We learned at around age five. Mom grew up around pools and was a big believer in teaching water safety very early.

Different subject though.
I drew a light saber today. It's pretty awesome.

It's more silver than the scan could pick up. But it's still pretty cool! I'm proud of myself. When I saw that today's art challenge was Star Wars, I was so afraid I wouldn't be able to do anything.

So I don't think that I am going to be able to accept the job that I was offered this weekend. It's just stressing me out like no other. :/ And it's bringing up HORRIBLE bad memories of something that happened 2 years ago that made me totally question myself and everything.

I spent nearly 40 minutes in tears because of how this is making me second guess myself and how the thing that happened two years, ruined my love of babysitting. :/ Which just really upsets me because I really did used to enjoy it. :(

I feel like it's missing something.

Yeah, I basically realize that I need to call them and tell them that I've thought about it and despite being able to tell them that I can start on Monday, I realized that I am not comfortable with taking care of three kids on my own and I'm not qualified and I wanted to let them know sooner than later so they can find someone more qualified for the job. It's about 800$-1000$ a month that I'm walking away from that I really could use but the fact that it's upsetting me this much, I can't do it - for my mental health.

I'll figure it out - if it really is something. Could be that it's just one that I don't normally do, so I am not fully comfortable with it? *shrugs*
