Why are you surprised? Some people just haven't heard of things that you may think are usual ordinary every day things. Some things that you take for granted, and use every day, are things that other people just have no idea about because that sort of thing isn't something that they don't really care for.
Me...? Currently - My MacBook Pro. And I'm sometimes (rarely) on my iPhone 4S (when I'm on campus and too lazy to take out my laptop.
