About 2 thirds through the battle, she gets 2 turns in a row. She gets 2 attacks per turn. 1 of her attacks is about half of my health.

That's insane o.o
How do you beat something so damaging?

Grind until she can't kill you that quickly.
The other problem is that there's no side-quests around my level. Side quests go from level 18, straight to 25. I'm at level 22 right now. 18 is too easy and not enough XP, 25 is way too hard.

Maybe it's part of the story that you get beaten?
Though you'd probably be able to tell that by now. I don't know what the situation is.. >.>

Retry, Lower Difficulty and Quit.

Mmm options.
Imagine if it was just Quit for shits n giggles.

The boss had such little health that the bar was non-existent. And then it got 4 turns in a row.

That's so screwed up!
What's the boss called?

Arfiore.
It's the Big Bad of the game, but I'm fighting them earlier in the story. They're weaker than final boss level, but god damn, is it annoying.

I just managed to get nearly 100k damage on her in one freaking shot. Then she decided to reveal that she has a move that two shots everyone. AT ONCE.

that really sucks

*sigh* Should have used a strategy like that to start with. Curb Stomp battle doesn't even begin to cover what it ended up being.
