Yes, my thoughts exactly, did not know fresh durians did that.

We see them often in supermarkets, the ones that had split open already. They're good if you want to eat them immediately but we usually pick the ones that haven't split open yet because you don't know if other people have poked around in them or something and they don't feel as clean.



This one's only split open a little, we usually wait until the crack's a little larger so it's easier to pry open and the flesh is more ripe and tastier.

Neat! I really want to taste one now. I think todays adventure is going to be to find an asian supermarket.

Hehe, the last few times we've bought Durian have actually been at a supermarket giant's store.

I've never had Durian. It seems interesting.

I do like fruit :D

Be prepared if you ever do have durian for the pungent smell...some say it's fragant, other say it stinks, either way it is a strong smell that you can smell across the room.

It's so strong that often if there is a durian flavoured product along with other products, the durian flavour is kept separate so as not to contaminate and overpower the others...I remember seeing an ice cream store that did that.

And some places you are forbidden to bring durian inside for fear of stenching away their customers or guests.

Back when I was in elementary school and still thought durian smells bad, when the homeroom teacher took out his box of durian to eat, the entire classroom vacated to hide away from the smell.

just fine. the company I work for wants me to go to the airport tomorrow and like... wait for a flight I have no chance of getting on. This is silly to me because I already have a spot reserved for wednesday. I really have no chance of getting on it anyway, but on the off chance that there WAS room on one of those planes and I didn't actually show up to wait at the freaking airport all day I could be in some trouble for no good reason *sigh* Other then that though everything is peachy. Oh, except locals keep trying to pick fights with me for some reason. I keep turning them down, for their benefit as much as my own, but it is kind of weird.
