I'm gay also, and when I started the job I have (about 5 months ago) there was this girl who worked
in my department, a few years younger, and she was not the brightest bulb in the bunch. And when she
heard I was gay, she assumed all of the stereo-types about me xD She'd be like 'Oh he's cute- wait, you
wouldn't care.' And I'm like (- _-) 'I'm allowed to thinks guys are cute still, I just wouldn't date them'
Whenever we worked together, she'd try and talk about gay movies with me, like I wasn't capable of talking
about regular day-to-day things. She treated me like I was completely different than her. I tried explaining it,
how because I liked girls, didn't mean I didn't go through any of the same situations / feelings that straights do.
She also couldn't wrap her head around two people of the same sex liking each other. At times she annoyed me
and other times I just laughed to myself about the naive little girl I had to put up with, so funny. I love rainbows!!

momo: Yuppo She was just immature, she wasn't purposely rude xD Too airheaded for that~
But she randomly quit one day about a month or so ago, so I don't have to deal with it anymore
Clockie: Even if I think rainbows are bitchin' I don't really own any rainbow stuff. I'm not drawn to
buying them lol. I have one pair of rainbow socks!! I'm a frugal spender though, so I don't impulse buy.

I thionk I've drawn rainbow stuff, but...I don't know if I personally own rainbow items.
I should get rainbow shirts and stuff because I would LOVE to be dressed in a rainbow outfit

Momo: I'm not sure if she had some personal reason and we just never knew about it? No one really
liked her and she wasn't a good worker. I don't think she liked it there herself, and just decided to leave.
Clockie: I have a green shirt from Royal Oak Gay/Straight Alliance that one of my friends sent to me
(I live northwest of that city, in Michigan). The back of it says 'Love Is Love' ~ I think that's it xD

I want those big fuzzy leg warmers that are really big in rainbow

Hopefully she found something she liked better and is good at it

Aya; I don't really fit well into the community or into pride groups, so I kind of stay away from it all. People make jokes because I'm the complete opposite of my cousin, she is crazy about that kind of stuff. Pride stuff everywhere, rainbows everywhere, usually when she talks about anything it ends up being gay related. And I'm just eh, /shrugs, I like girls and that's the end of it. heh.
momo; I can just see these crazy leg warmers and you trying to strip with them.

Momo: Yeah I agree! I'm a workaholic (> w>) I don't like working with people who don't....work xD
Clockie: My older sister is...crazy / annoying. She's straight, but it's like she loves having a gay
sister. She loves to talk about me and the fact that I'm gay and that she'll kick anyone's ass that has
a problem with it. She makes a point to tell everyone, and seems to think I hide the information
I'm not ashamed in any way, and I don't avoid telling people. I'm just not the type of person to be like
'HI THERE DID YOU KNOW I'M GAY!?' Do straight people tell everyone they interact with that they're
straight? No. So I behave like anyone else, and simply be myself, and if anyone asks, I say so. No biggy.
This is the same sister that told my parents before I could tell them, back when I was a teenager.
Because I was stupid enough to say something to her first. She's such a busybody, I swear~

I'm really glad that I didn't have siblings like that, it would drive me nuts. A lot of people don't peg me for the stereotypical gay. if they find out they're like "O________O you don't look or act gay" and I'm like, what does that even mean? seriously. I just don't shove it down peoples throat and I completely agree with you. Being gay definitely doesn't define who I am, it's just a part of who I am. I'm glad I finally found someone who understands.
I hope things didn't go bad because she told them.

Clockie:
Yeah, she's the oldest of us four girls, and the most trouble. I'm a silly happy person
most of the time (except at work sometimes I can be mega serious & down to business)
but I don't think a lot of people peg me for gay either. Exactly, I'm all for being myself
I just see no reason and have no desire to thrust it in people's faces. Yes it's nice
My mom is totally cool with it! I'm not quite sure of my dad's inner-most thoughts, but
he's never said anything bad and I know he loves me. Sadly, my younger sister is very
religious. She is graduating from christian college this month actually. About two years
ago or so, during christmas break, she was at my parents house, and so was I. My dad
was watching Ellen (cause he loves her lol) and she said "I don't like Ellen, she's a lesbo."
I don't think she knew I was gay and it really upset me at the time :/ I still don't know if
she knows, my mom might have talked to her. I never see her, cause she lives about an
hour away. I don't think she'll try & convert me to straightdom, I like to think she loves me~

It's silly to think that homosexuals are any different from heterosexuals, just because they like others of the same gender as they doesn't mean they're freaking aliens, jeez. >__>
@Kitami: Yup yup! The old thread was too fat according to Jelly, so we moved here and started a new nest! xD
@Desi: D: Yeah, I found that out when looking for apartments for some students a few months ago. Why is everything so expensive these days. :c

I've thought about moving out because it's sort of like a new thrill to me, but then I'd think of all the bills and rent and stuff and I'd just go curl up back in my own room.

I do have a little saved up. But it's not a lot and if I go out and rent an apartment, even if it's just a tiny one, any hope of saving more up after that would be near-impossible unless I eat bread and water every day. >_>;
