I show way too much emotion sometimes. Downsides to growing up reading too much manga. A lot of my gestures and stuff are heavily influenced by manga. Like comically falling over.

comically falling over? I'd love to see someone do that in real life.

I can show a lot of emotions
depending what i am doing.
If I am reading or writing a piece I tend to show too much emotion in my face
and then my dad or sister call me out on it.

@Wren: Yeah, I do that a lot. Which is fine on its own but isn't really considered 'appropriate adult behavior', which, considering my age, is what I'm supposed to be like. The actions are so ingrained that I often do it without thinking about it, which can be bad if you're talking to someone like your boss or some CEO.

@Fuu: The other day I noticed how expressive I can be when I'm reading; the monitor was reflecting off the light behind me and I could see the little frowns and stuff flashing over my face as I read and type. ;

Nim- oh. I can see where it can be bad. It's can't be all bad when you're around your friends tough, can it? "Adult behavior" aside, I hope your friends tend to be more lenient?

Yeah, it's fine around my best friends, since we're all peas in a pod and all. xD

Casual friends depends on the person I suppose.

Yeah, I've been known to frown really heavily when reading something on the more negative emotional side, and grin like an utter idiot when reading something with happy feels.

I'm usually so into my own world when online or reading I probably wouldn't have cared.

I try to keep a continual frown on my face when reading at work though, so my co-workers would think it's because I'm working hard and not because I'm reading a fanfiction. ;;;

I wont notice either if I am on a role with writing my fanfic.
that is until either my dad and sis say "Why are you smiling?" or
"What are you smiling about?"
then my world is shattered and i feel so silly.

Haha I sometimes get that from my parents too, like, "What're you smiling about?"
I'd just tell them I'm reading or doing something that's fun and like.

I can't hide my emotions for crap. Even when I'm working, I can only control my emotions for a little while.

When I'm reading a story, I'll often burst out into laughter, sadness, or just anger. I completely immerse myself in the stories. xD

I am so emotional at the movie theatre. I think it's why my friends don't take me to the movies often. I get too invested in the characters and the plot - especially if it's like, a Marvel movie, or something else related to the fandoms I'm in.

Oh lol yeah, I can be like that too. XD

I think I may be annoying to others in a movie theatre because I'd keep wanting to talk/whisper about the plot and such with my friends, and often laugh out loud at the funny parts. xDDD

I always get flustered and then say "Nothing" in my flustered stubborn tone.

Depends on what I'm doing at the moment I suppose...I usually just tell them what I'm doing but sometimes if I'm not in the mood to be interrupted I'd tell them 'Nothing' too.

I laugh like crazy when I have nothing to do, so no one cares about it anymore

Ant!
I've been wondering, do you have an English-sounding name or like the Chinese sounding names the actors in Taiwan dramas have?

@Antagonist
I don't like telling people what i a smiling about as sometimes it is a friend
so i get all flustered and flushed.

@Lexadis
Whenever we watch something funny or i have something funny i thought of i laugh before i can even say it
or the funny part comes.

or i laugh at something so hard i start to cry and when i tell my sister to her it isn't really all that funny.

Both. I was born in the states so I got one of those English names. Also have my Chinese name...I prefer my Chinese name because it's more androgynous. I want to change my English name but so far haven't been able to find one that I want as my own that's sufficiently androgynous. The ones I do like are all too either feminine or masculine.

I got used to it since it happens a lot. ;; My parents mostly know what I'm usually doing online now anyway so they don't ask as often anymore.

When I think of androgynous names, I think of: Morgan, Jordan, Harley, Casey, Parker, Rowan, Alex, Frances (met someone for the first time today that was a girl with that name), Rory, Skyler... Do you not like any of those names?

I've seen someone call you Dan... Is that close to your actual name?

Or... Maybe that's someone else I've seen called Dan

Yeah same here.
And I mostly don't listen due to I am blasting music in my earbuds XD
So when someone says something I don't know because i can't hear them
due to I am so deep into my own world.

Ah okay You want to change your name after all this time? I wish I can change my name.. it's too common .-.

Libs - Ant is called Dan because of one of his previous names, but he said it's not his real one
