Bruce snorted. "Natasha and Clint already use my tea on a regular basis," he said. "And the store is close enough to walk to. I end up going every other week or so."

"Still, I don't just want to take it from you," Lavender said. "The good stuff is expensive."

"I'm not actually paying for it," Bruce pointed out. Because Tony could be ridiculously generous.

Lavender blinked a bit at that.

"That must be nice," she said at last.

Bruce shrugged a bit. He'd just kind of gotten used to it, because Tony was like that. And didn't take no for an answer.

Lavender watched him for another couple of moments before shrugging as well and going back to her tea.

Bruce was content to stand there and ship his tea for a little while. He didn't have anything pressing to do, after all.

Once Lavender finished her tea, she waved her wand for a moment, using magic to clean the mug and everything before putting it away.

Bruce quirked a smile at that. He usually only did things like that when he was alone, after all, and he wasn't used to anyone being so open about magic in the tower.

Lavender caught the small smile and blushed a little.

"Sorry," she said. "Habit."

"It's fine," Bruce assured her. "I'm just not used to anyone being so cavalier about magic in here."

"Tony already told me that small magic was okay," Lavender said. "Although I guess now it's kind of a moot point."

"Indeed." Bruce's lips twitched again in a small smile before he shook himself a bit. "Well, you're not bothering me with magic."

"Let me know if I do, alright?" Lavender asked. "I'll lay off. I'm a half-blood, so I'm perfectly capable of functioning without magic if I need to."

Bruce nodded. "I'll let you know," he said. He doubted she would, though.

Lavender nodded and tucked her wand away again.

"I hate all this waiting," she commented. "Not knowing where that nutcase is so we can take him out and be done with it."

"I don't think any of us likes it," Bruce said with a little shrug. "Unfortunately, until we get a better idea of how to track him, we can't do much else."

"Phenomenal cosmic power, and nothing we can do," Lavender huffed. "I feel a bit cheated." She couldn't help but grin a little, though.

Bruce snorted. Because really they were trying to find the guy, but Tony hadn't quite figured out how to get a lock on a magical energy source yet. They were working on it.

"I feel like trying to cast a pointer charm, but I'm assuming that was the first thing that was tried," Lavender added. "And I'm betting it didn't work."

"It didn't," Bruce agreed. "We're trying to isolate the energy signature enough to get a decent lock on it with Tony's tech, but so far that's not going so well."

"Has anyone tried scrying?" Lavender asked. "I mean, it's not one of my strong points, but I've used it before. I'm not sure how well it'll work without something to key in on, but still."

Bruce shook his head a bit. "You have to have a clear focus for scrying," he said. "I don't think it'll work for this. He's covered himself too well."

Lavender grumbled under her breath at that.

"I hate being useless like this," she finally said.

Bruce blinked. Well that was unexpected. "If I think of something you can help with, I'll let you know," he said. "You could always try talking to Loki again, or see if you can figure out where that spell came from. Jarvis has the words already, you'd just need to do the research."
