And...we didn't end up going scuba. We're going to try again on thursday, but my dad apparently needed to get a doctors note in order to dive and he didn't know that. So I guess I can worry about it another day.

Well, he's is old and full of medical problems. He's on medication for high blood pressure. It shouldn't be a problem to dive, but he needs a note from the doctor for liability purposes.

We're booked to go on thursday I think. Since it's the weekend, we haven't got the note yet. My dad is going to try to get it faxed monday.

We did a boat trip watching dolphins today and then went snorkeling. Honestly I'm happy with that even if we don't go scuba. Kinda doesn't want to go scuba. But we will be back home on the morning of the 4th so we're still here for a while longer.

Oh awesome. If you don't want to scuba (I'd have my reasons, though I want to do a shark cage thing sometime), why not just opt out of it. Give your spot to someone else?

Everything just worked out. I wouldn't really be able to back out without outside intervention because it was pre paid and I'm meek, but rains cancelled our helicopter tour so we rescheduled it. Since you can't dive and fly back to back, we have to cancel the scuba. Seems we would all rather fly over the lava than dive, especially since my mom wasn't going scuba with us from the start. At least all of us can do the copter.

lol that did work out pretty well. and helicopter trip sounds so much better

I'm quite pleased with the weather's intervention in this trip. Though I did wear my only dark shirt today because you're supposed to wear dark clothes in the copter so you don't get a reflection on the window. Not sure what I'm going to do about our rescheduled trip. Wear this shirt again? Compromise with a teal colored shirt?

You could just wear the same shirt again. It shouldn't be an issue? Any way to wash it before then?

Helicopter rides *are* a lot of fun <3

I mean yeah. Just trying to decide if that's the option I like best. I don't like to wear a dirty shirt if I can help it.

I have no idea exactly, but it's morning. We leave in the late afternoon or evening I'm pretty sure. Land around....12 hours from then with the time zone change.

We have the helicopter ride around 8 on Friday, so we leave after that. I thought we landed in the morning, but that seems mathematically incorrect.

XD For real? That's kinda surprising. There's some fast food we've seen, mostly when on Oahu which is more touristy. Haven't seen much besides Subway on the big island. There's a lot of Subways....

I would be ALLLLL about the helicopter in Hawaii! Have fun with that!!!
