Tell us more about them? I wonder could the fancier events be brought back, at least for one event. I'd love to experience it.

You could always go back in time in the archive and browse old event FAQs to see how old events worked. Look at Phoenix Jubilee 2010 and earlier.

There were different types of currency that were each earned in their own way, and you received them in varying amounts each time. I even know of at least one event (Phoenix Jubilee 2010) when you could give at least one of the event currrencies to other users.
Event items were usually hidden around the site. There was a thread with clues to help you find them. In winter 2009, we "baked" our event items by putting ingredients (event currencies) in ovens at the top of the main event forum page.

I remember one event when Viktoria Valentine gave out cookies to posters in her sticky. Nobody knew about it until the last few minutes of the event, so we were like JGHKOSGJDF and rushed to the thread and the thing went so fast that pages would go by within seconds.
Pages. And to think nowadays everyone gets intimidated by fast RAK. *rolls eyes*

You know those little colored eggs people are desperate to give away? You might see 'em thrown at newbies who are just as desperate for any items they can get their hands on? That was Easter 2010. What happened was Mene was trying a different EI system. The eggs were found randomly as you scrolled down a page. At first, the eggs were just eggs. Then the cracked pose was released. Then finally the item inside. Some people assembled a massive pile of eggs in one color and hardly any eggs in another color. Other people had
way too many eggs all around. Some people have multiple pages of their inventory drawers dedicated to their eggs. XD I personally have kept all my eggs, but the items inside are too cute for me to use. They take up almost a page of my inventory. XD

Sometimes these events were super glitchy, but the staff made the glitching fun.

I feel like a whole new world has been showed to me. The older events seem so much more complex than nowadays! But I guess there were more active users than today, right?

Many more. And the events were much, much more complex. Doing things the way they're done now is easier on the staff and cuts down on borks.

I loved the easter eggs. Are there any events coming up?

Festival of Winter Nights near the end of December is the next highly anticipated event. I'm hoping there will be another round of love letters done by Captain Howdy. Got a little madlib in you?

I was around for the egg thing. I tend to give out those to newbies.

No need to worry. I've taken a good deal of those eggs off the market and given them to salvete to have and to hoard.

Salvete's inventory is where the eggs go to die.

Precisely. If only I could make them into omelets.

And so flavorful. Maybe add some cheese, diced ham, and sausage.

I am so excited for the Winter event. :)

I am going to host a Hanukkah thread AND a Kwanzaa thread this year.
Well, maybe just Kwanzaa, someone else can do Hanukkah, I won't be stingy.

Although, this year I convinced my parents to take Hanukkah photos instead of Christmas photos.

When I see that, I think of "drag" in the context of "roast."

Ava made a delicious vegan roast for Thanksgiving.
Not that I celebrate.

It would be really weird if Ava celebrated Thanksgiving.

I don't "celebrate" Thanksgiving.
We just eat a nice meal and say thanks to nature!
