It's funny, I always write better in small, cramped spaces... I used to go to parks and woods and look for inspiration, with my big journal and all my pens and whatnot, and I'd try and find words for how I felt and stuff, and it always sort of felt forced, to me. Like my ulterior motive of writing was getting in the way of what I was really looking for.
Now it's like I go to places like that to take it all in, experience it to the fullest, and enjoy it, then later when I'm going over it in my mind and letting my imagination play with it, the writing just happens on its own, as a reaction to my mind playing with the day's events.
I know this probably isn't what you were talking about, but it put it in my mind to bring it up. Imagination sets us free, and some of the most famous works in history were written by people while cloistered, imprisoned, traveling by ship, and under all sorts of confining circumstances.
Even Thoreau, for all of his love of nature and wide-open spaces, found it far more practical to do most of his writing in his little cabin, lol.
I think if I had a point to make somewhere during this post, it was something like, "we often do our best writing when there's no room for anything else", but all I really mean to say is that if you're really in the mood to write, nothing can stop you, and it might even be really good stuff that gets written, too. ^_^

No carpets at all I sleep on the floor if it gets too hot though. It's hard but hey it's cold are you one of those foreign people who parade in their own house with shoes?

I only do shoes indoors if it's what everyone else is doing... People here track dirt all over, so it's just cleaner for me to keep them on, really.
I do like writing on a good floor, and even sleeping on one, but it has to be clean, and for some reason clean floors just don't seem that important to people here.
Plus, where I live, it's probably better if everyone keeps their smelly shoes on, especially in the summer.
I can't stand it when I think I smell cat pooh, and it's someone taking their shoes off. Nasty.

Oh, I do it at work, but mostly because I have at times had to leave immediately due to the client turning violent and such... so yeah... and the floors are far from clean...

Can I safely assume the unclean floors and the violent outbursts might be in some way connected? XD
It sounds like it.

Poor floories...
I would mop in the kitchen more often, if I thought it would do more than make the outer crust soggy...
I've scrubbed it on my hands and knees like a servant-girl before, just to see what it looked like under the coating of guck, but I'm not doing it again.
My shoulders were sore for a week.

Ugh, I feel like a housemaid, not that I have anything against housemaids, I just don't want to be one...
And I'm pretty much the only one who cleans, I swear, people need to have far less better things to do, then they could help me out more.

At least you're willing to do it, that's something. If nobody was willing to do the job, the world would be a far worse place to live in.

Mob connections, not so much, but connections are good to have, regardless.
