Hopefully indeed, but in the end I still intend to care for her.

What do you mean by in the end? If you two don't work out, how would you still care for her?

If she really is your best friend, I don't understand why you two would break up

Well I don't know the future, but we've dated like 3 times now
We're not very good at this whole "dating" thing XD

Pretty much sums up our relationship yeah lol.
I've learned a bit from other experiences but overall I don't actually know how to do relationships.

Okay, I can try to help you out. Is your answer yes to all of the below?
Do you love each other?
Do you enjoy each other's company?
Do you spend time with each other (including skype/phone calls/messages) whenever you can?
Do you help each other with whatever you can?
Do you listen to each other's stories and problems and offer solutions and support?
Can you see yourselves spending the rest of your lives together?
Do you confide everything in each other?
Do you trust each other?
That is just part of it, and I have obviously omitted things that would require being physically together.

Pretty much yes.
Solving problems we currently have is an issue, but that's about it. (Long distance trying to become short distance with no possible options)

For the most part many of those traits are those of a good friend. Is there really nothing extra a relationship gives?

Well ideally the person you are in a relationship with is your best friend for life, so it makes sense that there is a lot of overlap in those traits.
But you are not necessarily going to spend the rest of your life with just a good friend.
Maybe you would hang out and whatnot, but you are probably not going to live together in the same house for the next eighty years.
Let alone sleep in the same bed and be physical with each other.
And you are probably not going to raise a family together with just a good friend, if your plan is to have a family.
Your life partner would be the number one person you go to when you have something exciting or something sad or any random thing to share. Yeah you can do that with just a good friend too but I assume your good friends probably want their own significant others and whatnot. So eventually they will not spend as much time with you because they are busy with their own loved one.

i need a censor very rarely. Usually if I say something dirty, i don't realize that it was going to come out sounding dirty.

True... but when they are your only friend irl, it's hard to really tell the difference. I mean I have grown up seeing friends share a bed. It was common practice whenever my brother had a gaming party. Whoever fit on the bed piled on and the last one slept on the floor.

The Wandering Poet, I must have missed that you have a brother! Is he younger or older than you? Where is he now? What is he doing? Are you two close?
Young people will do that, pile onto a bed. But not really once you're older
