Poet, I actually already did all that when I was younger and preparing to go into nursing. Had my CNA for a few years, then moved onto Medical Assisting, next logical leap is to RN. Most states now require that nursing school candidates have experience in the NA role so they know what to expect. Helps with the drop out rate.

That is awesome that you already have all that relevant experience in the nursing field, Queenie
Why Germany? I love the German language, by the way

Ooh I see. If you already are familiar with the field I say go for it. Just make sure your licenses are up to date.

I have always loved learning all sorts of languages. Sadly I am not fluent in very many haha. With regards to German, there was a period during which I could actually understand a group of people having a conversation in German. That was pretty cool. But I was not able to form the sentences myself to be grammatically correct and also had some difficulty pronouncing some of the sounds in the German language. But becoming fluent in German is on my bucket list and I will do it someday when I am not too busy studying other things

Best I've done is the fluency of a small child in Japanese.

I learned it in college. But basically I learned it as like that of a child because now when I learn things I try to learn the base meaning not the translated meaning so that I better understand what I am saying.

I can't learn it any other way. Simply translating it over and over back and forth is tedious, and skipping the middle part is very efficient.

That's wonderful. I really want to learn Japanese and Korean. I know English, my medium of study; Telugu, mother tongue; and Hindi, national language which I had as an elective in school.

Indeed. That way you have someone to practice conversing with. And you can motivate each other.

i don't like the translated meanings either. I like going from the base. like a Pomme de terre. Or a potato. Is an apple of the earth. how pretty is that <3

Apple of the earth sounds lovely.
Just like how when people in japan ask how you are, they are asking "Are you honorably well?"

Most words from languages with deep roots have deep meanings. English simply cannibalize words
