" We should check it out. Where is this school?" Jenna asked. She had a feeling she needed to be around others who felt the way she did. " Would you like to stay for dinner? I'm making lasagna and a salad. " She said.

"It's somewhere in upstate New York, or so I've heard." He says. He smiles at the offer of dinner. "I would love to stay for dinner."

" That's quite the trip. I really don't have a reason to stay here." Jenna said as she got the lasagna out." I made this earlier today so all it needs to do is cook." Jenna said and turned on the oven. She also got the salad things out so she could start making the salad.

"need any help?" he asked watching her work. He found himself becoming attracted to her. She was very good looking.

" Would you like to help with the salad? I have tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers and peppers. I also like sunflower seeds in it but if you don't like them you don't have to put them in." Jenna said with a smile. She liked Kirin very much , and hoped they would be able to go to this school for mutants.

"I love sunflower seeds." He said as he started prepping the veggies. "So tell me about yourself." He asked as he worked.

"Not much to tell. I'm computer programmer and make specialized programs for people. I also grow plants as a hobby and give them away to people I know. What about you?" She asked as she made the garlic bread.

"Used to be the son of high powered business man. I was being groomed to take over the family business. Got my wings got disowned." He said with a sad chuckle.

" That's horrible. I'm sorry your family disowned you. " Jenna said sadly. " I don't want my parents to disown me, but I fear that day may one day happen." She said sadly.

"Honestly I'm surprised they didn't turn me over to be locked away." He said with a said chuckle. He went back and finishes up making the salad. He just wanted to forget about what had happened and what might have been and focus on the future.

" I don't want to think how my family will react. I'm glad we met today. I feel that we both can move toward a better future. " Jenna said with a small smile.

"yeah, if we aren't caught." He said. "I finished making the salad." His tummy grumbled right then. He hadn't had anything to eat since breakfast.

" We'll work hard to not get caught then.Thank you for helping with the salad. Dinner should be ready soon. What would you like to drink?" Jenna asked as she got plates out.

"Waters fine." He says with a smile. "And I don't mind helping. Least I can do."

Jenna smiled and poured two glasses of water. " It's done!" She said when the buzzer sounded. She put on her oven mitts and took the lasagna out of the oven carefully. " Would you like extra cheese ?" She asked.

"If you're adding it sure." He says with a smile. "You don't have to go with me you know. Your family doesn't know your a mutant. Hell if they catch me with I'm sure I'll get in trouble for kidnapping a poor defenseless human."

" They'll find put sooner or later about me. My dad doesn't believe that I'm telling the truth about how I grow my plants. I have a feeling he's always suspected me. " Jenna said as she added more cheese.

"Oh." Is all he can think to say. He finds plates and stuff and starts setting the table. He also finds the salad dressing and puts that out. He was amazed how great it felt to be with her.

" Hope you like this. It was my Aunt Lillian's recipe. " Jenna said and took the hot dish to the table. " How big of piece would you like?" She asked.

"Good sized, and I'd love to have one of the corner pieces." He grins. Once the lasagna is served he takes the plates to the table. He then pulls out Jenna's chair for her.

" Thank you." Jenna said with a smile as she sat down.She was happy that she had met Kirin today and felt that she finally felt like she could be herself.

Kirin pushed her chair in and then went and sat down. He took a bite of the lasagna and lets out a content moan. "Oh this is good." He said with a smile.

" Glad you like it. " Jenna said. She rarely made lasagna, since it was a lot for one person to eat, but usually made it when she really was hungry for it.

"Our cook could never make lasagna." he said wrinkling his nose up at themeory.

" Really? What else wouldn't your cook make?" Jenna ask shocked. Lasagna was something her mom made at least every month.
