Gabriel knew this was going to be the biggest test of his life. But he had to do it no matter what. He had been on earth for nearly a month now. Searching for one of their own who decided to abandoned their beliefs and turn his back against them. Gabriel look like just a normal human but he had his powers. He just couldn't have his wings shown since it would probably make a scene with the people.
He walks along the sidewalk looking around. As he had long red hair but he had it tied back behind his head, blue eyes, a light tan and also was well build. He wore black shirt and blue jean pants with a black leather jacket and tennis shoes. Gabriel was comfortable being in human close it was much better than what they wore up in heaven. And he took on normal things that a human would do like a job and also a place to live. Since he had to keep his secret to himself while he searches for the fallen.

Aaron knew that he would be hunted for falling, but, he didn't really care. Why was it so bad for an angel to turn for a better solution at life or immortal life rather than doing what everyone was telling him to do. As angel he knew he had to be told what to eat, how to eat, where to go, where not to go, what to do, and what not to do. As well as who you had to be with forever, which meant angels could only be with angels, no one else, and he hated that rule the most of all. You weren't allowed to talk back, to question anything, or even step out of bounds once or you would get in a large amount of trouble.
His short, soft, blonde hair moved gently with the wind slightly as his emerald green eyes scanned the area of the park. To a human his wings couldn't be shown, they were be tattered from the fall, and all black. Sadly that was the sin of his choice, his mistake that he would never take back, and he knew he would do anything not to go back up to the heavens again. Up in the clouds where the angels watched over the human world, Aaron was always standing close to the side, and they knew one day he would fall. However, when an angel falls they are not supposed to know how to love, care, or even protect anyone. That is how they are dangerous, but, to Aaron he still cared for life as well as other creatures out there.
He heard a ruckus coming from some thick pack of trees off to the side as he could hear the "click" sound of the switch of a gun, an M22. Someone must be trying to rob someone or kill them and he didn't think twice about going after them. He ran the way towards the trees as he his wings fluttered silently, invisibly, behind him. He was wearing black pants with zippers up the sides of them and a matching black t-shirt that whipped along the wind on the windy day. Don't be late, don't be late he kept thinking to himself as he sped up even faster and stopped when he had gotten to the trees where a man was on top of a little girl yelling at her to shut up or they would be soon. The child looked to be about eight years old, no older than ten at the most, and she was so scared with fear that she was crying.
"Get away from her" Aaron threatened, his emerald eyes darkening his his glare that he shot at the human whom looked a bit taken back. "Who the hell are you, go away, we're just playing a game" the man said taking his eyes back to the girl, but, she was gone now. He looked around, he knew he didn't let her up, not even for one second as he had pinned her to the ground with her wrists. She was now asleep in the arms of the fallen, in his arms, and he was making her forget it ever happened. He had slightly different powers than he did when he was a full, top ranked angel; "Shh, it's alright, just a bad dream" he whispered to her as the human lunged for them both with the gun in his hands and a knife in the other one he got from his boot.
Aaron shielded the child from harm by revealing his wings wrapping them around him and the child. He wasn't about to let this child get harmed for any reason, even if it meant giving up his where about to any angels out there; black feathers floated around the area they were in meaning he could be found at any moment. The human stumbled backwards as the gun hit the ground going off "Shit, you're a monster!" Aaron heard the human say, but, he didn't care about that insult. He could have been called something far worse, but, somewhere in his empty heart he wanted to kill the human. Kneeling on the ground, slightly opening his wings, he saw the human take off running in fear to tell the other humans about him, but, if Aaron chased him, the girl might get hurt.

Gabriel heard something not far away from where he was. It seem like the break he needed since he was able to scent the one who he was send after. The angel takes a look around before he vanishes and reappears within the park. Just in time to see the fallen scaring some bad guys away. This was different usually the fallen didn't care if a mortal was going to be hurt or not. But either way the fallen needed to die for his sins. Gabriel didn't really like the mission he was on but he had to follow orders. He keeps out of sight just long enough for the park to be clear from mortals. He didn't want to harm anyone else but he needed to take care of those guys. He had to keep the secret save from mortals that angels or the fallen was walking with them. And they didn't needed to stay alive for their sins.
He walks into the path of the males that was running. One of them would start to yell at Gabriel, "Stay aways from that man! he is a monster!" Gabriel pushes up his glasses and looks at the males "Yes I know...but so are you two. And you will be punish for your sins." walking up and grabs both of them. He uses his powers to kill both of them but it would just look like they had a heart attack cause there would be no marks on them. Gabriel watches the two men fall to the ground. He send their souls to one place that all sinners end up.
"Now time to deal with you. You know how many laws you have broken, Aaron?" says calmly but he knew he couldn't do anything with the child in the way. He walks into the other's view more and place his hands into his pocket. "This is different I never thought a fallen would care so much about mortals. And yet here you are," sighs deeply, "But no matter you need to pay."

Aaron looked up, the emerald color in his eyes deepened instead of darkening "Not yet" he used his powers, not like he had any rules to stop him, and transported the child away from here safely in a place that people would wish to help her. A simple take care clinic wasn't too far from here and he had passed it earlier. "Why are you here to stop me? Why did they stop me from saving others?" he was now questioning this angel that stood in front of him. Though he was more determined to know why since he knew why he had fallen to begin with.
The above power said that Aaron wasn't allowed to intervene or save humans because he would get attached. Because of that, he spent many days watching innocent lives being taken, and he couldn't do a damn thing about it. Until...well...until he chose to fall that is and that is where this entire thing began. "You should know the reason why I fell, everyone should know, what is so wrong with wanting to help others, isn't that what an angel is supposed to do?" he questioned again. He had fallen to save that child he had just saved moments ago after he was told not to, if she died in any other way because he stopped her death here, and now. Then...he would probably lose even more control considering the girl was just any other child to him and wasn't personal.

Gabriel sighs deeply, watching the other transported the child some place safer. He pushes up his glasses with his left hand before reaching into his jacket with his right. "I am just doing what I am order to. I do not question about what goes on." he says, as he pulls out his blade. A blade that was made to kill angels no matter if they was fallen or not. It works on all the same since it was crafted by god himself. It was only giving to the order of the highers like he was in. So he didn't question his orders unlike some angels did like Aaron.
"We are not allowed to intervene with mortals. Cause then we would become attached like you had." he looks around the park. As this was the first time someone had question about their true existed, the real reason why they was created. Gabriel shakes his head before he looks back over to Aaron and starts heading towards him. He keeps the blade to his side as his face was completely emotionless. That was just the type of person he was. Gabriel always follow orders and never question his orders he been giving. Aaron was only trying to confused me, he thought.

"So you follow the orders of someone you have never met before?" he wasn't really asking any questions, he was stating the true fact that not one angel, nor any other being, had ever met this so called God that didn't care if he fell or not. The main rule of the angels, besides never losing your faith in god was, Never get attached to humans Aaron never cared about those rules or any of them really, an angel was there to look out, and help humans along with other beings who needed it. So why did he have to allow this girl to die so he could survive.
"I don't care what you think or what you want to do with your existence. But, I didn't become an angel just so I could watch innocents that we could save, die as we stand there to do nothing" only to watch them die...Aaron was a lot more kinder than he appeared to be, but, he was also stronger than the other angels would know. Aaron wouldn't go down without a fight though. His eyes lit up as his dark power was released all around him and his wings appeared fully seen now. "I won't go down without a fight, I will not lose to the likes of you, not to someone whom is just a puppet"

The weight of the other angel's powers seem to be holding him down. He grinds his teeth staring at the other wondering how he could become so strong. This was going to be a tough fight but he wasn't going to back down from the other. Gabriel takes a deep breath, removing his glasses and his hair flows out from its ponytail. He released all of his powers and his wings appeared fully. They was white and glowing almost like a pearl. "Time to die" he says, before he starts running towards him. There was and possible a chance someone would get hurt in this battle. Gabriel wasn't going to loose his faith in his powers and his duty.
Gabriel yells out a battle cry and holds his sword above his head. He needed to take the right aim at Aaron. It was a suicide misson that they had send Gabriel on. And it just looks like Gabriel was just wanted to throw his life away without question. Talk about being brainwashed. Since he was one who was very devoted to his faith. The angel swings his angel blade once he was close enough at Aaron's head.

Aaron braced himself as he tried to dodge the attack which he almost didn't at the last minute. Aaron was silent when he fought, he knew from experience that the more you talked or yelled during a fight, the more energy you used up or it created a distraction. "Why do you have some much faith in something you don't even know exists" Aaron asked as he had a dark blade appear in his right hand and the metals of the two swords clashed together. Aaron would do anything to get away right now and he didn't care what it would take to happen.
He was glad he hadn't fallen like other angels, he still had his conscious unlike other fallens; moving back and then using the dark sword to be a distraction, he threw it past the other angel as is clanged to the ground disappearing. About that time he had enough time to quickly power the energy in his fist and shot it out at the other angel to throw him off guard if it hit him. "I won't lose to someone who doesn't know what they are fighting for" Aaron had been knocked back to the ground as he fell and looked up to watch the next attack.
His eyes didn't show fear, they didn't show determination or even anger, but, they did show the broken heart from the faith he had lost a long time ago. At the final last moment, his eyes flashed a darker shade of green and he reached up with a smaller blade appearing and stabbed the other angel in the shoulder which held the blade. Whether or not he would be hurt as well, Aaron had to do something, if he fought for too long, it could or would be the end of him.

Gabriel didn't understand why Aaron was asking him all of this. He thought there was things that shouldn't be answered. The angel jumps back once he was distracted so he wasn't pay attention like he should. He gets knocked back hard against the ground, the force was enough to knock his sword from his hand. The angel stumbles onto his feet quickly and grabs his sword but Gabriel didn't move quick enough. As Aaron's blade stabs him in the shoulder. Gabriel's sword drops from his hand and disappears.
Like his powers could harm Aaron. It was the same way with Aaron's powers harming him. And it was much harder for him to heal quickly during a fight like this. Blood slowly runs down from his wounded shoulder. Gabriel pants standing up half way only on one knee though. He holds onto his shoulder as he glares at Aaron, his ice blue eyes glow brightly, some of his hair was in his face. There was no way Gabriel could win this battle. He then wonder why he been send here. Maybe Aaron was right about something since there was a reason why Aaron did fallen in the first place.
"You...w..win this fight..." he panting hard, it was time for him to retreat. He lets go of his bleeding shoulder for an moment. He creates a energy ball and throws it at the ground. It blows up and once the dust settles Gabriel was gone. Gabriel leans against the wall of a building in the alleyway. His wings was gone and also his power level was back to normal. The angel winces in pain as he looks down at his wound and slowly pulls off his jacket. He had to stop the bleeding it was the only chance for his wound to start healing. It was going to be slow though cause of Aaron's blade. It was made much difference than his own.

When Aaron saw Gabriel hurt he couldn't help, but, feel sad for the angel whom was sent down to take him out. The dust flew around blocking his view until Aaron realized he was gone. Sighing, he retreated his wings, and went back on his way to walking wherever he could find a place to stay so no one would see him for a bit. Getting some sleep somewhere would be a good thing right now since night time was sneaking up on this side of the world.
~ ~ ~
A rustling noise was heard just a bit away from Gabriel as a child peeked their head out. The child didn't say nothing and once slowly walking in the light with little curiosity, the child was revealed to be a little girl; the girl had long brown hair to her waist and beautiful hazel eyes to match. "A-are you okay?" she asked, her voice showed she wasn't sure if Gabriel was a good guy or bad guy, but, she wouldn't run. No one should be in the ally way all alone and he didn't look so well in her eyes. She appeared to be about seven, almost eight years old, and looked really sweet and innocent.

Gabriel closes his eyes and rest his head on the back of the wall. He did his best not to pass out from the pain. The angel heard a noise causing him to become alert, opening his eyes and looks over seeing the girl. It was close he was about to throw an energy ball towards her. But he didn't he looks back over his wounded shoulder. He really didn't know what to say towards the little girl. And it was probably nothing she could do for him. "I...I am fine.." pushes himself off the wall. Who know how much blood he already lose so he felt very light headed and collapse to his knees. "Don't worry about me, little one... I just need some rest that's all.." his voice didn't sound like he was fine. Maybe this what his life was meant to be. To serve then die. He never felt like this before...completely hopeless.

The little girl went closer to him "You're hurt, we need to get you to somewhere safe" she placed her hand near the wound, her hand should have felt nice and warm like a light or ray of sun. "Don't worry, I won't let you stay in pain" she spoke until she heard chuckling and turned around to see three guys, thugs of course, and low lives who didn't value their life like they should. She placed her arms out as to protect the guy she just met and shield him from any attacks. "Don't come any closer, just go away, and leave us alone" She knew they wouldn't listen to her, but, she didn't really care. When they laughed at how a little girl was protecting such a big man, her face turned red, and one of them reached out to her face.
Closing her eyes, she screamed as a powerful white light took over the entire alleyway "GO AWAY" her power didn't knock them out, she had teleported them to a place far worse than where they originally were, and she knew they wouldn't last long. Her mind shifted not caring about those three and turned around back at him now. "Close your eyes and rest, you can trust me" she said hugging him then closing her eyes and teleporting him to another building a little bit farther off a ways. Once there she called for someone "Gran-Gran, I need your help" and with her young grandmother's help she was able to take care of his wound as well as try to get him to sleep. The little girl refuses to let him up and listened as Gran-Gran sang the gentle lullaby that was sung throughout the family and passed down from the females. it was more of a humming tune than a singing one since the words had long been forgotten. Lullaby

Gabriel looks at the girl and wondering why she cared so much about him. He keeps calm guessing he would just let the the girl help him seeing he didn't have much choice. The angel felt warmth entering him and wonders what was the child. Soon after the pain seem to fade away. He heard more voices and saw the group of men. He tried to help but was far to weak to do it. It seems the child was protecting him and thought that was foolish of her. But when he saw the power being released from her. Gabriel was confused all the blood lost was getting to him.
He shields his eyes from the blinding light and when he uncovers the men was gone. He looks back over at the girl and nods his head to weak to talk now. Gabriel wasn't the type of person to trust someone else much. Gabriel moves a bit but it seem the girl didn't want her to move around. Sighing, as he lays back and closes his eyes. He felt sleeply as he listens to the older woman's lullaby. There was so many questions but he figure he would ask once he was better..if he alive after this and falls fast asleep.

Gran-Gran walked back into the room after her lullaby ended and she went off to get a glass of water for the man that the girl had brought back. The child was on the small couch covered up when she finished the past three hours trying to heal him. There would be a scar probably left unless it healed, but, she was able to manage that much at such a young age. "You are quite the trouble" Gran-Gran whispered knowing the child didn't bring in very many people at all, in fact it was rare for her to bring anyone in.

A little later, Gabriel wakes up from his deep sleep. It felt like he been hit a million times with a bolt of lightening. Gabriel look around to see where he was since he didn't know the place he was in. Then he remember what had happen and the little girl who bought him back. The angel looks over his shoulder seeing his wound was better. It would be a scar there but he didn't mind. He surely had plenty of scars on and inside of him. Mainly the scars that he keeps to himself. His emotions. Slowly he sits up and puts his glasses back onto his face and ties his hair back into a ponytail.
There was some people here figuring it was the old woman and the child. He still had a lot of question speciality about the child and her powers. There wasn't that many children that he knew of that had that level of power at a young age. Gabriel leans over staring down at the covers on him. So many things runs thru his mind and it was hard not to think about it. It would make a man crazy with all that he wanted to know. And it wasn't like him either. Looks like the humanity within him was starting to stir around. Something he had cut off mental long time ago or tried to.

"Ah I see you're awake now" Gran-Gran walked over to check his shoulder for herself "Looks like it's finished healing" the younger woman appeared to be in her twenties, but, she seemed to have the wisdom for someone over a hundred years. "Alright then, April wake up, come on child, wake up" Gran-Gran said waking the girl up as she walked over to her and whispered something to the girl as she slowly sat up yawning. "I was dreaming I had wings Gran-Gran" April smiled, Gran-Gran looked a bit serious now "What have I told you about that?" Gran-Gran asked more like scolding the child "I'm sorry, but, they're just so pretty" April said standing up as Gran-Gran left the room. April walked over to Gabriel "How are you feeling? Would you like some water?" April asked wondering if he was still in pain or not.

Gabriel looks over at the woman and watches her checking where his wound was. The angel looks over at the child and he swings his legs around until he was in a siting up postion on the bed. Over hearing the child said toward the woman he couldn't help to smirk at that a little. "Yes I'm better now....thank you and yes please..." he said to the child. The angel scratches his head a bit staring at the child closely. The angel thought for an moment before he ask her, "Who are you? Why did you help me?"Gabriel wasn't in pain anymore it was something else...something else he couldn't explain really.

"Isn't it more polite to give your name first than to ask for one?" April asked adding "My name is April, I'm different, like you, and I love to help everyone I can. It's kind of a little hobby for me to take people in" Gran-Gran called out from the room "More like a hobby with you child" April just laughed at that a little bit, it was almost like a hobby "Plus I knew you were hurt before you got to the alley where I was waiting for you at" she smiled gently, she was a rare being out there, and Gran-Gran knew that since she was a being not of human as well.

Gabriel takes the glass from the child and stares down into the water before taking a sip. The angel closes his eyes, bringing the glass down from his lips and lets out a sigh. "My name is Gabriel. And I was send down here to deal with an angel who has fallen." opens his eyes before he looks over at April. Hearing the comment about helping people and the comment from the other. Gabriel sets the glass down before he looks back over at the child. "I'm not allowed to help people...so I don't know how different we are." shrugged. He pushes a strain of hair back that had fallen from his ponytail. "Hmm so you been spying on me...may I ask why?" he says, as he stands up and stretches a little before he walks around the room a bit just to stretch them out.

"Not spying, I just see things when I sleep" April spoke as she added "I'm told by Gran-Gran that I was meant to be born an angel, but, my parents were killed so we never found out what my father was. She believes for him to be a magic, meaning someone who can use magic, but, also can see into the future. That would be how I gain my powers and dream of things" April liked her family, she had no problem with it, and she was still a believer in most things. "I have the power of light as well as seeing into the future, but, not the past. I'm not that strong yet and I don't want to know something that could change me forever. Besides, if I couldn't see into the future, I couldn't help you" she beamed.

Gabriel crosses his arms over his chest and listens to April. "Oh so that explains it. It is a rare power indeed. And she is right you will be an angel some day." He walks back over and sits down back on the bed. He bits his lip a little stare down at the ground. "So you say you see the future...do you know what my future will be? I been wondering about that. After that battle...there are some things that fallen had said to me." It seem Aaron's words have really shaking him up and his faith. It was starting him to have questions about the reason why he was down here beside his misson. Gabriel leans forward and place his head into his hands "I never had this much trouble before. And I know if I don't finish my mission then I am the one that will be hunted." he says softly with an confused look on his face. Even his whole body was tense up.

"I don't want to be an angel though, I want to be a fae like her" fae was a term for a faerie, almost like a fallen angel, one that strays from the path. Sometimes there isn't much of a choice on that part; if a faerie falls too far into love and get their heartbroken then they turn to a fae and become a dark faerie to exact revenge if they wish for it. April walked over to him kneeling down to look up at his face taking his hands in her own. She closed her eyes for a moment, when she opened them she looked like she was in a different world, and then the light came back to her eyes. "In your future, there is death, I cannot say who dies or why. I cannot say how, but, there is also a light that appears before you...I cannot see the rest, it's too tiring for me to work over my usual limit without more practice" April said "But, hey, look at me. I do remember what my mother always said to me "Live your life, because no one else can live it for you" in short terms she meant Do what you feel is right, follow your own heart"

After all he knew he would never return to the heavens alive. Aaron's powers was to strong for him. And yea he did cheated death once it doesn't mean it would happen again. Gabriel nods, "I see...I understand. I'm sure with more practice you can able to keep focus." laughs a little. He shakes his head before he pulls his hands back and grabs his shirt before he slips it back on. "Its true words to live by. But I don't think they are meant for me. I don't even know what I truly want." before he stands up. "Anyway thank you for healing me." Gabriel also puts on his shoes.

"Before you leave, you should know that nothing is ever what it seems" April spoke and with those words, her and Gran-Gran vanished with a small whisper "We will meet again" the entire room where the bed, couch, and everything was had disappeared along with them as if none of it ever existed.
~~~~~~~~~
Aaron had wandered into a night club staying with one of the girls he hooked up with, but, used his powers to make her think something happened when it didn't. He just wanted to try sleeping in a bed rather than in a tree and when morning came, the sun was bright. It made him shield his eyes away from the light and his powers darkened the room. Getting up, he noticed he didn't have any dreams, or any reasons to feel like wanting to sleep again.
Taking a look around where he was and figure it was only a mile away from his apartment. The angel place his hands into his pocket and starts walking back to his apartment building. He just need to change his clothes since he wore the same ones from yesterday before heading out. Now the bigger question was will he start searching for Aaron again. Either way he sure have already pissed off the higher ups for what happen last night. Not sure how long his replacement would get here.
Gabriel finally reaches to his door before he pauses. He felt something behind the door before he quickly dodges the lightening ball that came thru the door. "Damn it..." he says, flicking his hand which made his sword appear. A tall man steps out of Gabriel's room into the hallway. He wore white leather head to his feet, he had red hair that matches with his eyes. "Hello Gabriel, it seems I will be your replacement." the male says. Gabriel stands up and glares at the other angel "My replacement? I only failed once...there is no reason for them to send a replacement, Kalin"
Kalin shrugged, "Well they think one angel isn't going to be enough to stop that rebel angel. So they send me here." had a bad attuide. Gabriel knew about Kalin, he wasn't the one you should be messing with. He had a hot temper that almost matches his hair. "Go home, Kalin. Tell them that Aaron is to strong. You are just going to get yourself killed." he says making his blade disappear. Kalin was the type to not listen and without a word he vanish from sigh. Gabriel pushes up his glasses and shakes his head "Fool..." he mumbles before he walks over to the door. He waves his hand and the door is repair. This was the last thing he needed today.
An hour later after a nice shower and clean clothes. Gabriel was back on the sidewalk. He needed to find Kalin before he finds Aaron. He wasn't sure where to start looking first. Kalin could be anywhere in the city.
