Castiel frowned, looking at her. He didn't have a good answer, and he wasn't sure why. "I... am uncertain," he admitted.

"Okay." That was something Runa could work with, and at least he didn't look pissed off at her anymore. That was a plus. "Was it because he was sleeping with me again, because he was sleeping with something like me, or because he slept with someone else in general?" She figured those would be the most likely reasons.

Castiel looked at her for a few moments before he nodded. "All of them." Hey, he was nothing if not honest.

"Okay," Runa said, not taking offense. "I can understand that. He slept with someone else, and on top of that, it was the second time the someone else was an antichrist. Correct?"

"Unless there is something you are not telling us, yes." Cas blinked once.

"Nope, just making sure I have my facts straight," Runa said. "I think I see what's going on." Because of course she managed to get in the middle of a couple where one was oblivious and the other was in denial.

Castiel frowned at her for a few moments before he shrugged slightly. "It does not matter. I need to speak to Dean."

"I think he took the Impala out," Runa said. "Somewhere in town. I don't know where exactly he went."

Cas sighed and vanished to go look for Dean. He figured he might as well just go look himself.

Runa held her breath for a moment and then let it out in a loud sigh of relief, sitting on the bed. Taking out her phone, she texted Dean.

Angel incoming, fair warning.

And then she texted Kyra.

I just survived a face-to-face talk with Castiel about being caught in bed with Dean. I feel invincible and very squishable at the same time.

Ouch, Kyra texted back with sympathy. Congrats. Need me to go keep you company for a bit? She and Sam hadn't talked at all and the silence was starting to get a bit awkward.

Sure. Dean's out right now. And Kyra sounded like she needed to get out of the room for a bit so Runa didn't mind.

Moments later, Kyra knocked on her door, waiting patiently to be let in. She looked a bit unnerved though.

Runa opened the door for her friend.

"Hey," she said.

"Hi." Kyra stepped inside and went over to Runa's bed, sitting down on it. "Thanks, it was getting too awkward in there."

"What happened?" Runa asked. "Things seemed okay this morning."

"Yeah," Kyra agreed. "But he kept sneaking looks at me, like... I don't know. Like he wanted to talk about something but wasn't sure how. And he keeps fidgeting." She made a face.

"Did you ask about it?" Runa prompted.

"Nope," Kyra replied promptly. "I just got out of there."

Runa grinned a bit.

"Well, I just survived confronting Castiel," she said. "I honestly thought I was going to be smote, for a while."

"If I had known what you were doing, I'm sure I would have thought you'd get smote, too," Kyra agreed. "I'm kind of surprised you got off scratch-free like that."

"I am, too," Runa admitted. "Just my luck I get caught between denial and oblivion. Castiel had no conscious clue why he was so upset, but it was obvious. It was obvious right?" She looked at Kyra.

"Oh yes," Kyra agreed. "It's very obvious. And Dean is totally in denial?" She sighed and shook her head. "Yeah, sounds like your luck, honestly."

"At least Castiel was being honest about what was upsetting him," Runa said. "I can't fault him for it."

Kyra nodded. "He is honest, at least," she agreed. "Dean is not. But Dean is also much more used to denial and a certain lifestyle."
