Dean just snorted at him and settled in for the night.

Sam rolled his eyes and glanced at Cas.

"You going to hang out here for the night?" he asked the angel.

Cas nodded wordlessly, settling in for the night as well. He was fine just sitting and watching his charges sleep for the night.

Sam gave a nod of acknowledgement and want back to his computer.

Something seemed decidedly off the next morning when Runa woke up. There was a tension in the air that hadn't been there the night before, and it nagged at her even as she packed her things to put into the Impala.

Kyra noticed it too, perhaps even more than Runa. She felt jumpy and itchy and she hated it.

"What is going on?" she asked quietly as she stuffed the last of her stuff into a duffel.

"I don't know," Runa replied. "But you feel it too, so it's not just me." Quickly, she checked her gun and knife, just to be sure.

Kyra had her blade out as well, checking the area.

"I'm going to go see if Sam and Dean are fine," she said, heading for the door.

Runa nodded.

"While you're doing that, I'll see if anything's happening around here," she said. "Make sure there are no nasty little surprises waiting for anyone."

Kyra nodded and headed over next door, knocking on the door. She couldn't feel Cas around anywhere, which was odd.

"Guys?" she called. "Hey, you awake?"

There was a brief, frantic scrambling from inside the room, alongside some muttered swearing, before the door opened just slightly.

"We're not ready yet," Sam said. Instead of a tenor, though, 'his' voice came out as an alto.

Kyra's eyebrows shot up at that. "Uh... huh," she said slowly. "You've got five minutes, we're almost ready to go, and something's going on here. Hurry up so we can figure it out."

A quick nod, and the door closed again. Then Sam turned around to look at Dean. "Any luck in reaching Cas?"

"None," Dean growled, although 'his' voice was much higher than normal as well.

Sam sighed.

"Dean, if we wait much longer to leave the room, the girls are going to come in and find out anyways. Maybe they found something out there that might help us figure out what happened. We should pack up and head out."

Dean ignored that and went to go get his phone again. "Dammit Cas," he growled. "Pick up your phone."

"Dean, maybe he's caught up in something," Sam pointed out, reaching over to take Dean's phone. "We may have to wait a bit. And we can't just hole ourselves up here."

"Like hell we can't." Dean grimaced when his voice squeaked a bit. "Man, I hate this."

"You think I don't?" Sam pointed out. "Out of everything that's happened to us, this is the weirdest."

Dean made a face, swore a few times, and gave in. "Fine, get your shit packed, I want to be on the road in 20 minutes."

Sam nodded and got dressed. Once the belt on the jeans was cinched tight enough not to slide down 'his' hips, he crammed this things into his bag and reluctantly headed for the door.

Runa was waiting out by the Impala. She hadn't found anything unusual in the area, but she was still alert and glancing around occasionally.

Kyra was doing one last sweep to see if she felt anything in the area, which she didn't. She headed back over to the Impala too and froze when she saw them emerge.

Dean's jeans were too long, and the belt was tighter than normal, and he was grumbling as he emerged. He didn't quite dare look at the girls.

Runa did a double-take when she saw them.

"Oh my," she said. "Well, I guess we know what happened, then."

Sam's jeans were too long, as well, but not by too much. He had cuffed them up a bit to compensate.

"Shut up and get in the car," Dean muttered, throwing his stuff in the trunk before getting behind the wheel. At least he could still drive his baby.

Kyra grinned and tried not to laugh as she got in the back seat.

Runa bit her lip a little and slid into the back seat with Kyra.

Sam just blushed a bit and got into the car as well.

Dean started driving as soon as they were all in, turning up the music so they couldn't talk. He was having a bad day.

Kyra waited until the music was loud enough to let out a few giggles.
