"I don't quite feel it yet," Runa murmured, curling up. "It was rough."

"I bet." Kyra shook her head. "But you're back, and that's the important thing."

"Brought an archangel back with me," Runa said. "We need the firepower if we're going to come out of this on top."

"Yeah, I know. I saw him." Kyra shrugged. "We'll manage. We can worry about that tomorrow after we've all gotten some sleep."

"Yeah, sleep," Runa said, trying to relax into the bed. "That might be good."

Kyra nodded and flipped the lights off but for her bedside lamp. "Let me know if you need anything else."

"I will," Runa said. She fell asleep quickly once the light was off. It didn't last long, though; barely an hour and a half later, she thrashed herself awake, sweating and gasping. Quietly, she got up and crept outside to get some air.

Cas joined her a few moments later, standing shoulder to shoulder with her. He didn't say anything though, just relaxing there.

Runa relaxed just slightly at his presence.

"It was rough," she finally said quietly. "Six or seven months, on my end."

Cas nodded. He understand about how rough Hell could be. He didn't push her for anything either.

Runa leaned against him a bit, looking for some comfort.

"There was a key I needed to get my hands on, to open the Cage," she said softly. "I had to trade favors to get it." She shuddered slightly. "I scrubbed with salt and holy water, but I can still feel their hands on me, Cas. I don't feel clean."

Cas settled an arm around her slowly. "You did what was necessary," he told her quietly. "That is not always the easiest thing to deal with."

"It was so easy to let them use me," Runa whispered. She started to cry quietly. "It was so easy, because I was doing it for a reason. But I still feel so dirty now."

Cas froze for a moment before he carefully gathered her into his arms, pulling her against his chest and just holding her there. He didn't know what else to do.

Runa stayed huddled against him for a while, until the crying tapered off.

"Sorry," she murmured. "I didn't mean to do that."

Cas shook his head but didn't say anything, just keeping her there. He didn't mind, and clearly she needed it.

Runa rested her head on his shoulder, not making any move to get away.

"Do you mind if I stay with you and Dean for the rest of tonight?" she asked softly. "I just-- maybe trying to sleep alone isn't a good idea right now."

Cas nodded. "I do not mind. Dean will not either." But he didn't make a move to go back inside just yet.

"Thanks," Runa replied. She was quiet for a moment, just taking comfort from behind held.

Cas stayed there for several moments longer before he picked her up, carrying her easily back inside.

Runa blinked when he picked her up, but just held on as he carried her inside. She knew better than to squirm; she didn't want to be dropped.

Cas carried her over to the bed Dean was sleeping on, and he set her down there to get settled in.

Runa did settle in, trying to take up as little space as possible and making sure not to wake Dean as she got comfortable. She made sure to leave some room for Cas, if he wanted it.

Cas gently nudged her over so she was closer to Dean, managing to get her under the covers. Dean woke up part-way and groaned, blinking blearily to figure out what was going on.

"Go back to sleep," Cas told both of them.

Dean looked at Runa, yawned, and settled in close to her.

Runa settled down, relaxing more once she was securely snuggled in between them. With an angel on one side and one of the best hunters on the planet on her other side, she couldn't be any safer if she tried. It was surprisingly easy to drift off to sleep between them.
