Cas didn't actually sleep, but he stayed with them through the night, just relaxing with them.

Runa was surprised that she woke up the next morning, rather than from another nightmare. She was snuggled comfortably between Cas and Dean, and the light streaming through the window of the room suggested that it was at least mid-morning already.

Cas was still awake, and he glanced over at her when she woke. But he didn't make a move to get up just yet.

Runa didn't make any move to get up yet, either.

"Morning," she murmured to Cas. "Thanks for letting me stay."

"Mmm." Cas pulled her a little closer. "You should stay more often."

"You don't mind?" Runa asked, letting him pull her closer. "Bed's a little crowded with three."

Cas shrugged. "I don't mind," he said. "I doubt very much that Dean minds either. Besides, we can work something out if one of us falls off."

"I wouldn't mind staying more often if neither of you minds," Runa said. She snuggled in more, comfortable and content for the moment.

Cas nodded and settled in as well for a little while. He didn't feel the need to get up anytime soon.

Runa knew that they needed to get up and get moving to try to head off the Purgatory crisis, but she also wanted to let everyone rest a little while longer. So she didn't wake Dean yet and instead stayed where she was.

Cas waited until nearly noon to get Dean up, rolling out of bed himself and prodding Dean until the hunter got up with a groan.

Runa helped, nudging Dean from behind.

"Come on," she said. "Time to get up. We've lazed about long enough."

"No we haven't," Dean grumbled, but he got up all the same and stretched before heading for the bathroom.

Once she was satisfied that Dean was up and moving, she got out of bed as well and stretched.

"I'm going to go shower as well," she said to Cas. "Thanks again for letting me stay."

Cas just nodded and went to go check on the others and give his two time to wake up fully.

Sam and Gabriel were already awake, having a quiet discussion about the pros and cons of letting Michael run free.

"Could always call in parental supervision," Gabriel pointed out with a shrug.

"You want to be the one to pitch the idea to Charlie?" Sam asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Charlie might come by on her own," Kyra said from where she was still curled up in bed. She was awake and dressed, but she was cold, so she was taking refuge in the bed. "I mean Archangels aren't exactly a dime a dozen, so she might come by just to see how he got out."

"If she doesn't already know," Gabriel pointed out. "I mean, come on, vessel or not, it's Mom."

"True," Kyra conceded. "But she might come check on us anyway. Doesn't exactly seem like she'll just leave us to rot." Or Kyra really kind of hoped not, anyway.

Gabriel shrugged. He knew God didn't typically take an active hand in things anymore, but standard rules didn't apply where the Winchesters were concerned.

"We can't bet on that," Sam said. "We should assume Charlie won't show up."

"Alright. Assuming she doesn't, I know Runa wouldn't have just pulled Michael out without getting his agreement that he'd help. I don't know how far that will go, but we'll see, and if it becomes a problem you can get in contact with Charlie." Kyra looked at Sam.

Sam nodded.

"Alright," he said. He had Charlie's number on speed-dial if he needed it.

"And I can keep an eye on Michael for a while," Gabriel said. "To a degree."

"Once we get up," Kyra said with a little shrug. She lifted her head and looked at Gabriel and Sam for a few moments, debating if she could convince them to get back in bed and cuddle for a bit.

"It's probably about time to get up anyways," Sam pointed out. "It's already noon."

Kyra grumbled at that but reluctantly got out of bed again, though she kept the blanket half wrapped around herself. "But it's cold~."
