When she gave him an answer he looked away from her with red cheeks. He was glad that it answered her question but he still felt vulnerable now that his feelings were out in the open. He knew he could trust her though, and that made him feel more at ease. After she excused herself he let out the breath he didn't know he was holding. And soon his cheeks returned back to their normal pale color. He felt strange now that he'd gotten that out but he couldn't decide if he felt good about it or not. Although he could tell that Amelia was glad he'd told her, but what for?

He pursed his lips then got up from his seat just as the servants came in to get his dishes. "Thank you." Brody said, his kindness coming out as he spoke before leaving them alone in the kitchen to do their work. Since Amelia was getting ready for bed he figured he'd take a quick bath before going to bed himself even though the nap he had earlier did his lack of sleep justice. Slowly he walked up the stairs and down the hallway to the walk in closet where he would get some clothes.

After his bath he was feeling rather warm, he guessed it was because of dinner and the warm water that had made him feel over heated, so he decided to leave his shirt unbuttoned with out thinking too much of it as he walked out of the bathroom. Before going back into their room he grabbed his father's journal and made up his mind to read some before going to sleep. Silently he walked the hallways and then walked into the bed room to find Amelia already in bed. He wondered if he would disturb her if he kept the lamp light on. He would ask.

Brody got into the bed next to Amelia after closing the door to the bed room behind him. As he'd previously done he kept some space between them, even though he found himself wanting to be closer. It was dark in the room until Brody turned the light on his bedside table on. "Will this light bother you?" He asked Amelia as he positioned himself back against the headboard of the bed.

Amelia blinked as she felt the glare of the light in the bedroom. She turned over to find Brody seated, shirt unbuttoned, with the journal in hand. Why had he done that? She doubted it was to seduce her in any way, seeing as he thought she was doing so when she put on one of the night gowns against her will. Well, dinner was kind of warm. He noticed that the ends of his hair were slightly wet, so she assumed that he took a bath of some sort. She realized that she never took a shower after dinner. Eh, it's not like one less shower will do much. She always had a natural smell that always smelled good for an odd reason, which was why she rarely used perfumes except for special occasions.

"Oh, no it won't bother me." She smiled up at him, "Goodnight." She said before turning over and closing her eyes again. Enough had happened today, so she might as well start getting some sleep tonight. She wrapped herself in the blankets more and sunk her head into the pillow deeper. She slowed her breathing so that it was merely a calm and soothing sound, and eventually she had drifted off into the soft clouds of dream land.

After realizing that his shirt was too open and he was now in front of Amelia he pulled it together a little. Yet, he still had yet to realize that by leaving his shirt open he was almost implying that he could be trying to seduce her like he'd thought she had tried to do him. He looked over at her as she turned over and went to go to sleep. "Good night." He replied before opening his book and focusing his attention towards it's pages. It wasn't until he was halfway through did he cool down and end up buttoning his shirt up most of the way.

After that he felt he should go to bed, but as he went to close the book something fell out of it. He picked up the laminated paper and flipped it over to see it was a picture of his mother when she was younger. His brows raised as he'd never seen a picture of his mother in her younger years when she was his age. She looked the same but there was a youthfulness about her, it kind of reminded him of Amelia. He blushed as he glanced over at the red haired girl before looking down at the picture of his mother. He then placed it back into the book and closed it. He sat the journal on the night stand and turned off the light.

As he laid down he thought that since Amelia knew of his mother he'd show her the picture tomorrow. If there was one thing people instantly often found out about Brody is that he was a total mama's boy. Brody shuffled under the sheets and ended up turning towards Amelia. He didn't particularly like facing the wall when he was in bed anyway. Soon he fell asleep and dreaming of nothing but black bliss.

Brody didn't wake up until the next morning with the sun hitting his face, it was hot. Too hot. When he opened his eyes he squinted and found out the reason why it was too hot. It was because he was out of his side of the bed and over on Amelia's side with his arm draped over her. Once he realized what he was doing he slowly unwrapped his arm from around her and rolled back over onto his side of the bed. His cheeks were flaming red as he hoped that she'd not known about him holding her to him.

Amelia dreamed of riding Stars on an endless green meadow with a sunset that looked like an explosion. She speeded forward neverendingly to an unknown destination. A grey shadow began closing in on her and as it came close, she saw that it was Brody on his steed. He winked playfully and urged his horse faster. They raced head-to-head to a finish line that would never come on an endless meadow. A light laughter escaped Amelia's lips and suddenly she felt like a kid again. Innocent, playful and happy, she was in bliss just riding with Brody to destination nowhere. A few moments later they began slowing to a stop and they both dismounted. Hand-in-hand they walked a few feet away from their horses and laid down in the meadow. Amelia laid her head across Brody's chest as they watched the sun slowly set below the horizon. "You know what?" Brody sighed, "I think marrying you was the best choice of my life."

"I could say just the same." Amelia smiled up at him. He cupped her cheek with a soft hand and brought her face closer to him. They looked into each other's eyes for what seemed like forever. Their lips were inches way, centimeters, millimeters...

She woke up slowly from her dream after some shuffling and movement from the bed. She opened her eyes slightly to find that Brody had moved his arm away from her and began wriggling to his side of the bed. Was he...cuddling me?! Her face began to redden so she nonchalantly shifted herself to face the wall. It's not like she objected to his arms around him, but by his nature it seemed so odd for him to do that when she didnt need him to. She began hugging the blanket as a shy smile escaped her mouth. We...he has his arms around me. She yawned and checked the digital clock on the bedside table. 7:45. She yawned and went back to sleep. It wasn't time to wake yet, in her opinion.

Brody was an early bird. Plus since he'd caught up on his sleep he figured it was now time to get up even though breakfast probably wasn't ready yet. Which was fine since he could wait. As he went to leave the room he glanced over at Amelia to see that she was still in the bed, and she looked like she was sleeping. He hoped she was. He pursed his lips as he tried to shake off the earlier mishap from when he'd got out of bed and exited the room. The servants were already up and about cleaning as he wandered to the walk in hall closet where their clothes were. When he opened the closet he found the maids sorting out their clothes and putting them up neatly. "Good morning prince Brody." They each chimed before giving him a smile, one walked over to him and smiled brightly.

"If you don't mind me asking, is it true that you and princess Amelia will be having an heir soon?" She asked him softly, before adding. "I didn't think it true so I'd figured I would get the truth from you."

At the question Brody's lips pursed and his cheeks turned pink. Who was telling everyone that they were going to be having an heir soon? He looked down at the maid confused, and before his body could react in sync with his emotions he gain composure and smiled at the middle aged woman. "No, no. Whoever told you must be mistaken, Amelia and I are not to have an heir." By the news the woman seemed a bit saddened but glad to know the truth.

"I see, I knew it could not be true because you have just settled in." She gave a small giggle then patted his arm, "Breakfast is being prepared so be sure to bring your appetite with you." She said before shuffling back to her previous task.

After Brody got his attire for the day he went to go change in the bathroom. Just who in the world was spreading such rumors about them? Honestly they had just gotten married but a couple of days ago and they're already expecting them to have a child. Good grief. He then sighed and looked at himself in the mirror before leaving and going down stairs.

Amelia woke up slowly and peacefully. She yawned and stretched like a cat before unraveling herself from the covers. Looking to her right she noticed that Brody wasn't there. She guessed that he was already out and about. Stretching one more time, she got out and went to the bathroom to take a shower. She undresses, turned on cool water and stepped in for a long shower. After cleansing herself from slumber, she felt ready to take on today. She wiped the fogged glass so that she could see her face so she could out her hair up in a tight, wet bun. She rolled up her sleeping clothes and dropped them in the hamper. Wrapping a towel around herself she stepped out of the bathroom, out of the bedroom and into the hallway. Finding the walk-in closet, she found a couple of maids taking out the dirty clothes and putting clean ones on racks and hangers. They excused themselves as they exited the closet so that the princess could change without anyone watching. She chose to wear a white frilled shirt with a blue pleated skirt that went an inch above her knees. Discarding the towel, she exited the closet and made her way downstairs.

In the kitchen, the cooks were busy cleaning their work station and setting their plates and cutlery. Brody was there before her so she smiled and bid him good morning. She sat down next to him and began taking food from assorted plates of eggs, ham, bacon, cheese and fresh fruit. She took a bit of each and began working her way to emptying the plate. "How did you sleep," Amelia noticed that the cooks were still here. She figured they expected some sort of pet names between them. She sighed softly to herself, "Sweetheart?"

Since Brody had gotten there first he'd been met with breakfast. Although it wasn't too soon after that Amelia had made it to the kitchen so he too was just filling up his plate. He glanced over at her and gave her a good morning then continued to assort his plate with foods until it was full. As he began to eat he was surprised by Amelia's question because it reminded him of what had happened earlier that moment. His cheeks nearly began to heat up as he looked over at her, and they did once he heard the words sweetheart leave her lips. "Ah..." He stuttered before clearing his throat and looking away from her.

"Yes I did sleep...well...What about you?" He asked her once he'd realized she'd called him sweetheart because some of the servants were still around. This fact calmed him and allowed him to be able to look over at her as he began to take small bites of his food. As he did he remembered what the servant had asked him this morning about Amelia. "Ah, by the way..." He began as he moved over closer to her so she could hear him. "One of the maids had heard a rumor that we were supposedly having an heir soon. She asked me about it this morning. It old her that we weren't. " Brody then leaned back to his seat before taking a drink of his water. "What happened to the saying "aren't you a little young for that?" ?" He asked her in a bored tone. He felt a little pressured of the matter but he supposed as long as he assured those who have been wrongly informed that they had not an heir the subject would die down.

"Pretty good too." She smiled and went back to her food. She decided not to mention the arm-around-her fiasco. If anything, she didnt want her to know about it at all. She looked up after Brody spoke again. "What?! Well that's absurd!" She didnt know why she was so shocked. Then again she didnt want to be pressured into the whole baby-making process. She averted her eyes and opened them why. Wait a minute...what if...that maid I talked to... She remembered talking to the red-haired old maid and out of anxiousness she hinted at something like that. Oh no... She shook her head at that. It couldn't possibly be that. "I guess they really want their grand kids." She made a choking sound at that, "We're too young for that!" She sighed, "I guess they expect a lot from us now that were married." She cleaned up her things and stood up, "I...I think I'm gonna go outside if you need me." She smiled, curtsied and left the room.

She went out to the pond again, the place growing to be her favorite. She smoothed out her skirt, laid down and looked up at the clouds, getting lost in her thoughts once again.

Brody inwardly let out a sigh when she said she slept well, it meant that maybe she didn't know about him cuddling her earlier that morning. He wasn't too surprised that the girl had been surprised by his words though. He was glad that she felt the same way that he did about it. He wouldn't know what he would've done if she felt the opposite way. He would've probably locked himself inside the library. Although...He looked up at her as she curtsied to him before leaving, it seemed she needed some alone time to her self. After she left his mind continued off from his previous chain of thought. Although, if she had felt that way a part of him...his eyes widened as they trailed after the girls figure as she left. What in the world was he thinking. His thoughts were completely and utterly absurd. He blushed at his manner of thoughts and ate the rest of his breakfast.

Unknowingly to Brody Alonso snuck out after Amelia when he'd seen her leave the kitchen. He'd heard the roomers about her and Brody and was worried that they'd been true. When he found her at the pond the boy looked down at her. "Amelia..." He said as not to startle her. "I heard that ...you and Brody are expecting an heir is that true?" He asked her softly, there was disappointment clearly written on his face.

Amelia looked up at the voice talking to her. It was Alonso. She blushed and smiled up at him. "Oh no, no no." She laughed and scratched her head, "No, it's just a rumor. I guess people want an heir already."

He looked at her nervously and sat down beside her. "You sure this isnt true, right? You guys aren't...doing anything anytime soon?" His eyes were filled with such fear that Amelia didnt understand why. It did not concern him at all, she didnt understand why he was getting so defensive.

"Alonso, are you okay?" She sat up and looked at him oddly, "What's gotten into you?!"

"I just...you can't..." He averted his eyes from hers and clenched his fists. She couldn't understand why he was getting so frustrated. After some time he looked back at her. "If I hadn't gone to a different country I would have stopped you from marrying him."

Amelia was taken aback. "W-Why?! What do you have against him?!"

"Nothing! I just...I just hoped you and I...might end up...together." He relaxed his hands and let out a big sigh.

Amelia looked at him with a gaping mouth. She knew that he was dropping hints but she didnt know he wanted to be with her. She looked away from him and started picking the grass to buy herself some time for her thoughts. A few days ago she would have said yes. But now...she didnt know what she wanted. Alonso was a childhood friend, but Brody...there was something about him that she had slowly fallen for. Something...she just couldn't figure it out. Not yet at least...

"I-Im sorry Alonso, I...I don't think I feel the same way anymore..." She finally said to him. She looked back up at him as he started muttering and cursing under his breath. He gave her a sad smile, bowed his head and left without a word. She looked down at the pond and sighed. I damn hope I made the right choice...

Brody had finished the last of his breakfast when the servants came in to take up the empty plates on the table. As usual they flashed smiles at Brody as they cleaned things up as he exited the kitchen. He decided, since he was bored he might go for a ride. It was time he'd gotten back in practice anyway considering Amelia had beaten him in a playful race yesterday when he went to visit his father.

The boy stepped outside and surprisingly found that it was still a little cool outside but he knew soon it'd be getting warmer. He dreaded the heat, but yet he didn't prefer the cold either. He liked warm temperatures where it was just right. Not too hot not too cold. Silently he walked down to the horse stables, he could still she Amelia down at the pond by herself. He wondered if she'd want to join him, she did seem too like riding an aweful lot.

Soon Brody found himself only steps away from the girl. He noted how much of a lighter red her hair seemed to be in the sunlight. Almost a pale rose color. Brody cleared his throat then spoke. "Amelia..." He said to her as he stepped up beside her. "Would you like to go riding with me?"

Amelia heard a voice clearing and she thought it was Alonso coming back again. She looked up and to her relief it was Brody. She let out a sigh and smiled up at him. "Of course." She smiled up at him, "Id love to." She began walking up to the stables with Brody close behind. In no time at all, they reached the stables with their horses in adjacent stalls. She went up to her Stars and started tacking her quickly and leading her out. When leaving, Stars nipped at Brody's horse before they left. "Stars!" She flicked the mare's nose while she snorted at Amelia. She figured the two horses got to know each seeing as they didnt have much else to do. She giggled at that.

Once out, Amelia mounted her horse and waited for Brody. It was a wonderful day, as it was the previous day and the day before. It always seemed so perfect here. No doubt her father chose a wonderful spot suitable for both of them. "Come on, slow poke!" She teased before pulling on Stars' reins, causing the horse to rear and whinny.

When Stars nipped at Gray Brody seemed the simularites between the relationship of the two horses and his with Amelia. In the way that the two horses were still getting used to each other. Gray eyed Stars wearily before snorting and Brody who only patted his back. "It's alright boy." He said as he saddled the horse with ease before getting on his horse. He then looked up at Amelia when she spoke to him. The corner of his lip twitched, he wondered if she was teasing him for not being able to win their race.

Brody made Gray trot up next to Stars and as he did he stood, and leaned over to place a playful ghost kiss against Amelia's cheek before motioning Gray to run like he'd never ran before. "Come on, slow poke!" He called to her as he shot her a playful grin before directing Gray to run off into the woods. The woods was once his domain when it came to riding horses but since the wedding and everything previous had taken up his mind he hadn't been riding in the woods as much, nor did he have friends to race with since he shunned them all. Well not all of them, but most of them that did ride with him.

Maybe that's why he was being so playful today was because he had someone to ride with. Plus it was like a challenge to him to try and beat Amelia at a race again. And it'd been a long while since he'd had a challenge.

Amelia didn't even have time to raise her eyebrows when Brody came up to ghost-kiss her cheek; he had already shot off into the woods. She kicked Stars and urged her into the direction of the woods with great speed. She wasn't used to riding in the woods; she was more of an open fields kind of rider. It was all the more reason to challenge herself in the unfamiliar terrain. Stars dodged and ran over every obstacle with ease while maintaining a race-horse speed. Soon enough, Brody was plain in sight. Slowly advancing, Amelia reached out her hand and messed up his hair playfully. When he looked she stuck her tongue out and advanced forward. Both animals were equally agile, Amelia could comment, but it didnt seem that Brody had ridden his steed as much as Amelia did her mare. Stars snorted at the steed as she urged herself forward.

Lets see if we can confuse them. She thought to herself as she kicked Stars with her heel. The mare snorted and advanced forward. Amelia scanned the road as quickly as she could. She saw a path going to the right. She didnt know where it would lead but she shrugged at it anyway and urged Stars forward. The path came up quicker and quicker that she almost forgot to pull her reins to the right. When she did, Stars sharply turned into the path. Amelia laughed a victory laugh loud enough so Brody could hear.

She felt her horse begin to slow into a trot. Tilting her head, Amelia tapped Stars' neck and looked up. The terrain had become rocky, something they were both not used to. Looking behind, she saw that Brody had started to close in on her quickly. Tapping or kicking Stars didnt seem to make her get back to her original fast speed. She huffed and blew a hair out of her eye as she looked back to watch Brody fly by her any minute to accept victory.

When Amelia had once again caught up to him he practically glared when she came by him and messed up his hair. He grimaced at the show of her tongue and then urge Gray to go faster. Although it seemed it would be a good bit before he'd be able to catch up. Which was fine, the longer Gray ran the faster he'd get so it shouldn't take them too long to out run them. Luckily he could still see Amelia up ahead in case she tried anything he'd know.

The boy smirked when he saw her horse sharply turn on the path to the right. He'd knew she'd do that but her laugh made his smirk fade. He knew she wouldn't be laughing like that for too long. As he turned Gray to the right he noticed that Amelia wasn't going as fast as she had been before. His brows furrowed in confusion and slowed Gray down until Brody reached Amelia's side. Gray snorted as he caught his breath and Brody looked over Amelia. "Is something wrong with Stars?" He asked her confused, hoping that she wasn't just trying to trick her. They were just going over rocky terrain. "Or is there a reason why you slowed down?"

Usually he would'nt have just stopped like this, he would've went by if it was any of his other friends but he didn't think it'd be right if he did so considering Amelia's sudden slow down. He was too worried that there was something wrong with her, or maybe her horse.

Amelia looked up at him and shook her head. "No we're alright, just...Stars hasn't been on rocky terrain at all." She admitted, shrugging. "Guess you win this time." She smiled at him playfully, clicked at Stars as they both advanced at a trot. She noticed how Brody's steed stepped over the rocks with absolute ease, and Stars was jealous it seemed, seeing as she began to snort more often. The path began to slope up and soon enough they began climbing up at a slow, but leisurely pace.

After some time they had gotten to the top of the hill. It opened up to a clearing. Amelia lead Stars to the clearing to find that it ended abruptly not five feet before them. She pulled on her horse's reins and dismounted. Glancing at the edge, she walked her horse back and tied her reins to a nearby tree. Amelia crept up towards the edge to find that it overlooked the entire property. She couldn't help but let out a gasp in awe as her eyes drank in the view. The mansion was right in the center, with the stables, servants' quarters and pond what seemed like inches away. From the view, she could see that there was more to the property than they had previously explored; not only was there more land, but there was a path that lead to what looked like a bay, with a little dock and sailboat nearby.

"It's so...wow." She said to herself before she sat down and inhaled the view. She had found a new place where she could collect her thoughts every now and then, if Stars could get her stamina up for such feats.

Brody raised his brows then let his lips curve into a small smile. It seemed that he had at least one advantage over her but he wasn't going to use it against her. He was fair when it came to racing. "No, it's not fair since Stars is inexperienced." He answered her as he looked down at the horse. He laughed when it began to snort and Brody patted Gray on the back as he snorted also, but his snort was more out of amusement than frustration.

When they came to the clearing Brody also halted Gray as Amelia had done Stars. It seemed they'd found a part of land that they had yet to explore. The veiw was utterly amazing. Their parents really had made a good decision in putting them here. There was so much that they could do with the land. He got off his horse and looked around more until his eyes fell on a bay. Water. His eyes lit up as he looked over in the direction of the bay. He loved the water, perhaps they would go for a swim later, or at least he would. He definitely would.

"Yeah." He said in response to her words. "I think after lunch I will go check out the bay." Brody informed her as he tied up Gray before going to take a seat next to Amelia who was taking in the view. As he looked over at her he once again found himself staring longer than he should. In fear she'd think him weird he looked away from her quickly. "Would you come with me?"

Amelia looked up at Brody as he sat down next to her. She smiled up at him. "Yeah. I'd love to." She let out a small giggle out of contentment. She looked back at the view and they both stood in silence from the view. She leaned back to get more comfortable, but in the process accidentally brushed Brody's fingers with hers. She blushed, looked down and apologized softly. She moved her hand shyly away from his and looked out on the view again.

Every now and then she would look back at Brody. What if she did really think like she did when Alonso discreetly asked her to be with him. She wondered how he was now, after she rejected him. Maybe...I could learn to like him...like his father did his mother. Without her noticing her hand slipped just inches near his, but not touching. For an odd reason, she didn't feel like moving it again. If anything, Brody probably had conflicting thoughts about her while she pretty much felt the same way. I just wish I knew what you thought of me now...

Brody's fingers twitched slightly when he felt hers brush against him but he didn't tense or bat an eye. He was not repulsed either. Actually he felt quite fine with it. He looked over at her when her heard her apologize and seen the blush on her cheeks. It was nearly the shade of her hair but more of a lighter color. She was somewhat attractive when she blushed like that. Plus it made him feel giddy that she was blushing because of him, which was strange.

Amelia was being so quite it made Brody wonder what she was thinking about. He always liked to inquire of peoples thoughts but for some reason he couldn't bring himself to ask of hers. He looked over at her and it seemed she was in deep thought. He looked away and back at the view and let his hands slip a little to support his weight better. As he did he felt his hand brush against Amelia's but he didn't move away, instead he felt himself moving his last two fingers and interlocking them with Amelia's fingers.

Of course the action made his cheeks heat up but he said nothing until he noticed the sun rising higher into the sky. It was nearing noon but that didn't bother him. The last thing on his mind at that moment was lunch.

Amelia opened her eyes wide when she felt Brody interlocking his fingers with hers. She looked at their hands to ensure that that was actually happening. She smiled up at him, despite her stained cheeks. She looked back at the view and moved her hand closer to his without any slight thought or hesitation to it. It seemed like forever that they sat their in calm and serene silence.

The sound of their horses snorting and Amelia's stomach rumbling woke her out of her trance. She looked down to see that their fingers had still been interlocked. She blinked to notice that the sun had risen high. Noon, probably. "We should probably get down there, before we waste the day away." She smiled at him, stood up and slowly let go of his fingers. She went to Stars and patted her nose before untying her reins, moving her onto the path and climbing up on her. She pulled on the horse's reins and waited for Brody to come so they could descend the hill.

Brody was lost in his thoughts until Amelia brought him out of them. He looked over at her as she stood up and let go of his fingers. He felt a little disapointed for some reason, as if he didn't want to let go of her just yet. "Alright.." His lips pursed as he pondered over that feeling before standing up as well and going to untie Gray. The horse nudged him and Brody patted his head before climbing onto the horse with ease. He tapped Gray lightly on this side and urged him forward onto the path.

As they went down the hill Brody took his time, seeing as he wanted to keep pace with Amelia. Once as they were going down he could've swore that Gray snorted at Stars. He hoped that it wasn't like that, he didn't want their horses snapping at each other. When they'd finally made it down the hill and they were off the rocky terrain Brody looked over at Amelia once more with a challenging stare. He felt that he was going to challenge her until he beat her once and for all. Fairly. Brody kicked off Gray and clicked at him, signaling him to run like he'd never ran before. Then suddenly Gray ran faster, faster than what he had been.

"You've been holding back on me!" Brody said to his horse as they speed through the forest with ease. "What were you doing that for? Don't tell me you're mad because I haven't rode you in so long!" He protested as the horse snorted at him before picking up speed. Brody then looked behind him for a moment to see if Amelia was keeping up with them before having to look forward when Gray jumped over a branch in the forest as they rode back toward the stables which were quickly coming into veiw.

The climb down wasn't as tiring for Stars, it seemed, because now she could go down the terrain much easier. Once down to level, easy terrain, Amelia caught Brody's challenging glance before he shot off. She gasped softly and kicked Stars forward. Gaining speed, she couldn't seem to match her speed with his. It's as if Gray had eaten something that gave him great speed. She trailed behind him and no matter how much she urged Stars, Amelia couldn't seem to get beside him. Once out of the forest, she moved out so they would have space. She tucked her body in to try to gain more speed, but to no avail. The stable came up quick and soon enough the race was over. Amelia narrowed her eyes at Brody and hung her head low, admitting defeat.

They both dismounted and lead their horses back into their stalls. The horses snorted and whinnied at each other as they went their separate ways. The two said their goodbyes and exited the stable to go back into the mansion. They were both in exceptional moods and the maids who greeted them saw that. They bowed a good afternoon to them as they came into the kitchen to await their lunch; home-made sushi with watermelon-feta cheese salad. Amelia bowed her head as Brody pulled her seat out for her. They each took mounds and mounds of food as they had been tired out from their ride.

The food looked delicious. More than delicious. It wasn't until he'd laid eyes on it did he realize how hungry he was. After getting what he'd wanted for his plate he immediately began to eat, being sure to mind his manners as he did so. He was in a good mood because he'd finally been able to beat Amelia, although it was Gray's fault. But he'd never say that, he wasn't one to make up excuses. As he ate he felt his energy being restored which was good because he'd planned to check out the bay later. Upon thinking that he felt as if he was forgetting something, something that he was meant to do.

Then it came back to him. The picture of his mother he'd found last night of his mother, he'd been meaning to show it to Amelia. After he took a sip of his water he looked over at Amelia. "When we get done eating I want you to come up stairs with me, I have something I want to show you." He said to her before going back to eat the rest of his food, which was most of his salad and three other peices of sushi.

((You made me want sushi ))

Amelia ate until she felt her belly expand. Soon enough there was only a little of each plate left. She looked up at Brody when he spoke. She nodded and smiled as she wiped her mouth and went back to eating. What could he possibly want to show me? She began to slow her eating. Did he want to prove those rumors about them having a child true or something, and he wants to show her his...she almost forgot to swallow at that thought. No...That probably isn't it, since he denied it completely in the morning. So what is it...? She began finishing and cleaning up while she waited for Brody to finish. Once they were both done, Brody lead her up to the bedroom.

She began to tense up as she wondered what he could possibly be showing her, then untensed as he reached for the notebook. He really did love his mother, it seems. He began flipping through the pages as she stretched her legs after having them stiff after riding. She crossed her legs and leaned over slightly to see what Brody wanted to show her.

((Lol I literally had it like 20 minutes ago ))

Brody was flipping through the pages until he caught a glimpse of the picture of his mother. He stopped and flipped back a few pages until he found the picture. He took it out and then sat the book down on the might stand before sitting down next to Amelia on the bed. "This is my mother when she was about our age." He said with a hint of pride in his voice as he handed her the picture of his mother. It was a truth that he did love his mother dearly. She was the person he'd looked up to most as a child. Of course people found that strange because he wasn't that much of a daddy's boy but he didn't care. His mother was his favorite.

His father had often said it was because they were alike, and thus they could get a long better since Corliss had never gotten along with Brody's father when she was younger. "I wish you could've met her. She would've loved to have you as a daughter in law since she wasn't able to have any girls of her own." After she had Brody her child bearing days were over, or so said the doctor that his mother had wrote about in her journal. He remained silent before laying back on the bed. He looked at the ceiling before letting his eyes trail back onto Amelia.

Without hesitation he reached out and took a strand of her long hair between his fingers absent mindedly. It seemed he'd taken a liking to playing with her hair, which was strange since he never found women's hair that interesting until now.

( not fairrrrraaahhh)
