"That sounds like a wonderful idea," Kirin said sitting next to Cain. He couldn't help but look at Cain. He reached out as if to cup Cain's cheek, but forced his hand down. He tilted his head up to look at the night sky. "I am sure my mother has been contacted about my behavior." He said with a chuckle. Though he wasn't worried about his mother. As it was his mother who always encouraged his independence.

Cain noticed Kirin's hand, was curious about it. He shifted nervously, but made no move to distance himself from the other man. "Is that a good or bad thing?" he asked without really caring about the conversation. He was thinking about Kirin and the moments he kept getting a weird vibe from him. He wondered what it meant.

"Hard to say, it all depends on her mood." He said chuckling. He stretched out his wings and rolled his shoulders. He enjoyed being here with Cain.

Turning his head slightly, Cain gazed at Kirin's wings. It was funny, but he often forgot that Kirin wasn't a human like him even thought he obviously wasn't. It was just that Cain could pretend he didn't see wings on the other man because he seemed just like any other sort of person Cain had met. Not like a fantastical beast. In this moment he was reminded of Kirin's difference from him. "Isn't it...strange...to have wings?" he asked suddenly. "I mean, what does that feel like?"

Kirin is silent for a moment contemplating the question. "It feels normal to me. I have had them since I hatched." He said. He had to remember that Cain wasn't like him. He was human, not dragon. He folded his wings back in.

"hatched?!" Cain exclaimed. Of course, he should have seen that coming, but the idea of someone being hatched was utterly unfathomable to him. He turned to give Kirin a strange look. "You are really so very strange to me," he said simply after he gave up on trying to say something more eloquent.

"I would imagine so." He said with a smile. He was silent for a moment. "If you wanted to see a hatching I know a young family whose eggs are ready to hatch any day now." HE said with a smile.

Cain hesitated for a second. "Maybe...I would like to see that." He wasn't sure if the site of something hatching out of egg would be fascinating or horrifying, but he wanted to understand more about Kirin's kind. That made him realize something. "Do you find me strange as well?" he asked. "I mean, I must seem as different to you as you do to me."

"Yes, and no." Kirin said with a small smile. "I have dealt with humans before, and was very close to one. Michael, I think I might mentioned you remind me of him." He chuckled smiling. "But I will admit that each time I come into contact with humans I find new strange things."

"The person I remind you of was a human as well?" Cain asked, though it was a rhetorical question he couldn't help but vocalize. It made sense that a human would remind Kirin on another human. He drifted off into silence for a few seconds. This Michael person had been mentioned again and for some reason, the mention made him nervous. Finally he decided that he needed to say something else. "At least we are interesting to you. Even I think humans are interesting. We are....weird as a people."

"Yes Michael was human." He said "I find all creatures fascinating, but especially humans. Again I have my mother to thank for that. She is the reason I am who I am." He said grinning. "Oh you will like her when you meet her."

"Meet her?!" Cain exclaimed. "You want me to meet your mother?" he asked. He ducked his head to stare at the ground, feeling a varying mix of emotions. Was introducing a strange servant to your mother something a person really did?

"Of course. She does come to stay every once in awhile." He said. "You'll end up running into her at some point, and it might be better if I'm there." You could here the laugh in his voice even though he wasn't laughing out loud.

Cain huffed and crossed his arms. He could hear the laugh in Kirin's voice. It was obvious that the other man was enjoying this, but Cain had been serious. He thought it was weird to meet someone else's mom. "If you say so," he griped. "Well, I'm done sitting. Should we keep walking?" he asked as he stood with a small but lithe stretch.

"Of course." He said standing. He offered his hand to Cain. He had heard Cain huff. "I am sorry if I offended you." He said as they started walking again. He hadn't meant to upset Cain.

Cain took Kirin's hand as they started walking again. He turned his head so that he could make a face without the other seeing. He didn't want to respond and say that it was alright. In reality, he hadn't been offended at all, but he didn't want to say as much just yet. After a few more seconds of silence though, he became annoyed by the lack of conversation. "So...this person, Michael. What was he like?" Cain wasn't sure he really wanted to know, but he couldn't keep himself from asking.

Kirin fell silent. He didn't want to upset Cain by going on and on about Michael. But he knew Cain deserved to know. He is silent a bit longer before answering. "He was human, and he had a good heart. He was kind, caring, and the person I was closest to. Besides my mother. We grew up together him and I."

Looking off into the night sky with a distant look on his face, Cain considered that. A person like that didn't sound like Cain at all. He wasn't kind or all that considerate. He forgot to think about other people half the time and only did as he thought was best for him. The only person he showed care to was his mother. But even if the description of Micheal made Cain feel inferior, the information wasn't enough. He wanted to know more. "Were you friends then, like brothers? Or..." Cain trailed off. A relationship more than that would explain the soft tone he heard in Kirin's voice when he spoke of Michael.

"We started off as friends. But it did develop into more. And I don't know what it is about you. But your aura... your essences feels just like his. I can't explain it." He said as the continued to walk. "I am sorry if I am making you uncomfortable." He said giving the hand he was holding a light squeeze.

The conversation was making Cain a little uncomfortable, but less so than he thought it would. He had seen this coming and it did bother him that things were like that with Kirin and Michael, but the actual idea of such a relationship was less discomforting than he had expected. Cain smiled at Kirin and squeezed his hand back. "No, it's fine. I'm the one who had to ask. For some reason I just can't stop myself from wanting to know about you."

"Very much like Michael. He wanted to know everything about everything. Could never convince him to go flying though. He had an awful fear of heights." He said with a smile in his voice.

Cain looked at Kirin in surprise. Was that just a sort of coincidence? But Cain's mother had taught him from a very early age that coincidences were simply a person's inability to understand what the universe had planned for them. So what kind of plan was this, that Cain was turning out more and more like Michael. It wasn't like Cain was Michael. "For me it's the fear of my feet not being on the ground. Heights are fine, as long as there's ground too," he said quietly.

"I guess I just can't relate to that. What with being a dragon and all." He said chuckling. "What about you, your family, friends? I know I took you away from all that." He said soflty.

"Yes, I suppose you have to experience a giant bird grabbing you in its talons and trying to fly away with you to end up scared of such a thing," Cain said with a slight laugh. Even though the though of being airborne would scare him forever, he felt comfortable enough with the story to laugh over it. "Honestly, I've been traveling since I was 13 and I go back to my mother when I can." For a second he thought of his journals. Surely he'd still be able to send them to his mother. "I make friends along the way and I've met great people, but really, I don't have many people in my life."

"I wouldn't be carrying you in my talons." He said with a chuckle. "You would be riding on my back." He could understand how a human would think that he would be carried in the talons of a dragon. "If you desire to send something to somebody I can have that done for you. And you can have your mother visit you as well." He said with a smile.
