The scariest story I've read is The Dream by Alvin Schwarts.

Allen Carr's Easyway To Stop Smoking.

Definitely Gerald's Game by Stephen King. It's a psychological thriller. The whole thing takes place with one person, locked in a room, for three days. She must come to terms with horrors in her past, or else she won't have a future. It's incredible ... and scary.

I think it was Just In Case, by Meg Rosoff. I'm still scared of rabbits.

The Walker in Shadows by Barbara Michaels. Also House of Many Shadows by the same author.
I still don't like to look out of windows at night.
But then I'm a scaredy-cat

I don't read many scary books but I did read (well, look at, I can't read Korean) this REALLY scary Korean comic a few years ago. I was having nightmares for weeks... Let me just say the story is really not the scary part of it.
Here's a link to the English translation, which I didn't have at the time, by the way. Seriously only read this if you are okay with jump scares. I don't want to give anyone heart attacks.

“The Haunted House” is a very scarey story book i have to read it some time i feeling some afraid but i like to read like this books and stories

Misery by Stephen King.
It took me a year to read through that book.
