How old was she?

16-18 I think. I can't remember exactly when I got her. My friend gave me her as a kitten after our neighbor's apartment caused poor Patches to pass away from smoke inhalation. She's outlasted 3 or 4 roommate kitties I had.

That's a ripe old age for a kitty. I'm sure he lived a good life.

Yes, SHE did. Hehe. I was against getting a new kitty at first cause it was really hard on me since I've had her for such a long time. But recently I've reconsidered. The only problem is that shots and such are so darned expensive and I don't have the money to pay for it.

It's ok. I try to refer to them neutrally if I don't know their gender.

Hard to do without a proper third person gender neutral pronoun. I don't like calling animals "its". It feel like that makes it okay to treat them like objects, which it really isn't.

I try to word my sentence where a pronoun is unneeded.

That is more effort than I'm willing to put in to a forum post.

But the more characters you use the more gold is rewarded, so it's worth it to make a longer post.

Hahaha she is a handful! She's staying with my mom right now because I needed some time to get settled into my apartment before bringing her into it. She's flying home with me when I go to visit in July.

Probably for the best. Kitties are easier to acclimate to a new place when things aren't constantly being moved around.
But seriously, I've wanted one for sooo long. But I can't afford one nor do I have the time for an indoor cat right now.
