Tony explained the situation to Charles. From the sounds of it, it sounded as if Andrea had a small amount of telepathy as well as the ability to predict the future...at least in small amounts and explained his reasoning for both powers.

" Sounds like Andrea has inherited the same powers her mother Anne had. Anne suppressed her abilities and I'm not surprised that Andrea is just getting hers. Keep an eye on her and let me know if she will let me meet with her. " Xavier said knowing he would be able to get a better understanding about what Andrea could do.

"You know I will professor. Should I bring you up the next time I see her?" Tony asked. He wasn't surprised about the powers being real, but he was surprised that her mother had refrained from using them. Could it have been because of the threat to mutants everywhere?

" It would be best if you did. I want to eventually meet her myself and determine what she can already do. " Xavier said and understood that it might be some time till he would be able to meet with Andrea.


Andrea didn't understand why she was feeling like this. She had a feeling that they would make some progress today on the message but they wouldn't like what they found. " What's happening to me?" She thought as she drank the rest of her coffee and hoped this feeling would pass.

"I understand professor, I'll talk to her about it when I see her next," Tony said as he said his good byes before hanging up. 'Man do I love technology,' he thought before chuckling lightly.

"Andrea, you okay?" both Leana and Steve asked.

" I'll be okay. But something is bothering me. " Andrea said knowing it would be best to tell the others about all this. " I just have a bad feeling about the artifact and message and that we might not like where it really came from. " She said and wished she knew more.

"How bad?" Leana asked, curious.

" Just bad. I really don't know how bad it might be. " Andrea said and felt like crying. This all was confusing to her and wanted to know what was happening. " I'm sorry about all this. I don't know what's happening to me. " She said and wondered if she really was a mutant of some kind.

"Hey, it's going to be okay. We'll get through this kiddo, just like we did with defending New York," Steve said as he rubbed her back lightly. Sure he didn't have much knowledge when it came to deal with crying females, but he did have some experience.

" Thank you. I think all the stress about being a target and the feelings I get are getting to me. I just want to know why I have these feelings about things. " Andrea said and was feeling a little better. She hoped Tony's contact knew what was happening to her and had a feeling she would eventually meet this contact.

"Don't mention it. This job can get a little stressful from time to time. Just ask Bruce," Steve joked as he tried lightening the atmosphere.

Andrea gave a smile and started to relax a bit. She didn't want to get too stressed out over what was happening to her since she felt this assignment was a very important one and needed to stay focused.

Leana was glad that Andrea was feeling better and finished her breakfast soon after. 'It seems as if Steve would be a good protector/escort for Andrea...' she thought to herself as she ate.

" We should get going Leana. The meeting with Director Fury won't be long but he doesn't like to be kept waiting. " Natasha said as she looked at the time. It seemed to her, that the only one who could get away with being late was Tony.

"Alright," Leana replied as she got up and followed Natasha. She was still curious as to what the project she was suppose to be working on...

" Steve can I ask you something?" Andrea said as they walked to the computer lab. She didn't want anyone she knew to judge her badly because of the abilities that she might have. Andrea knew her grandma Peggy would love her no matter what happened but knew that there were others that did judge harshly when others had strange powers.

"Ask away," Steve responded, wondering what was going through Andrea's mind.

" Would you judge me badly if it turned out I had powers? " Andrea asked and hoped he wouldn't.

"Powers? Like with a mutant?" Steve asked.

" Maybe , but I'm not sure exactly. I did give Tony permission to ask a contact of his about my abilities. " Andrea said and sort if had an idea on who that contact might be. There were only a few people in the world who didn't judge mutants for who or what they could do.

"I see. Well then...to answer your question, no, I wouldn't. You are still you Andrea," Steve replied.

" I'm glad you wouldn't. " Andrea said with a smile as they arrived to the computer lab.


" Good to finally get to meet you Ms. Hatcher. " Fury said once he saw Natasha and Leana arrive. " I hear you gave Barton a run for his money in training yesterday. " He said with a grin. He knew of only a few people that could do that, Natasha was one of them.

Tony heard the two enter and grinned lightly. "Just the assistant and bodyguard I was looking for."

Leana blushed lightly at hearing the great Nick Fury compliment her like that. "I think he might have underestimated me a little..." she said humbly.

Andrea returned the grin. "Good to see you too Tony." Andrea said and was looking forward to starting today. She liked anything that distracted her from what was bothering her at the moment.

"And that's a good thing. Now, you will be helping Andrea and Mr. Stark on decoding and tracing the origin on an artifact that was found only recently. Ever since the incident with the tesseract, we need to be sure that all unknown artifacts are not going to be trouble in the end." Fury said, even though he had a feeling this artifact would be more trouble than he wanted at the moment.

"Tony...' Steve said warningly, knowing that he was planning on something. Whether that plan involved Andrea or not was another story...and one story that he didn't want to take part of. "Whatever you're planning Tony, leave Andrea out of it," he said.

"Leana's gonna be working with Tony? I pity her already..." Natasha said lightly, talking from past experiences with the eccentric inventor/hero. She knew that Leana was ready and capable of dealing with most things that would come during their way.
