"I might remember," she said with a knowing grin. Blackmail, she always loved using it.

"Yes Mrs. Carpenter, I am. Please, come in," he said.

Anne opened the door and had a sudden vision and drew her pistol. " You better explain yourself Wang. I don't trust people I don't know easily. We have a car waiting at the back if the hotel and you are going to come without any trouble " She said. This wasn't a part of the plan but she could sense he was holding back something.

" You better. Or I'll make sure I target you when I'm in the rafters. " Clint said and saw the alarmed look on The Doctor's face. " I have a thing about hiding in the rafters of the Helicarrier with a nerf gun. I do that to teach the newbies how to keep aware of their surroundings. " Clint explained.

"I see...that makes sense actually, especially in your profession, from what I've learned," The Doctor replied as he watched the scene in front of him unfold.

Wang was alarmed. "W-what do you mean? And don't point that thing at me, I mean you no harm!" he shouted as he got up from the desk slowly.

" I won't shoot you I promise. " Anne said and lowered her gun. " No one told you I have visions. I thought you were planning to trick my husband and myself. We need to get moving , since our plane leaves in less than an hour. " She said still not trusting him. Anne heard yelling in the hallway and tightened the grip on her gun. "We need to run! There's a bomb here. " Anne said and fell over when the impact hit her. It was more like a shock wave and could feel herself getting weaker. Though what surprised her was an orange swirl of energy clouding around her.

Wang had no idea what was going on with the female Carpenter when she was enveloped in a cloud of orange-yellow energy, but the Doctor would know...and he'd also be surprised if he witnessed it the first time around. However, for a Timelord like himself, he would be able to witness it as however many times that he wanted.

Roger felt the explosion before a rush of heat passed by him, knocking him unconscious. Once he came too, he couldn't remember anything except for his name.

Anne felt intense pain and could feel changes happening. The pain faded but the changes remained. Anne could see Wang in a corner looking terrified. " Well I guess you don't see that everyday."Anne said and shot him in the shoulder and looked in a nearby mirror. Anne saw a slender Asian woman staring back at her in the dress she had put on that morning. She felt a nudge in her mind and hurried toward the stairs knowing that SHIELD would be here soon. " Who are you and why are you trying to contact me?" Anne telepathically sent to the strong presence that was trying to contact her.

" What just happened ? Clint asked as he saw who Anne had become. "Anne's the Dark Lady. " He added shocked that his friend was alive.

The Dark Lady had the number ready to dial and called The Doctor. She could sense he was the one who had witnessed her transformation that day and had told her to call him in 9 years. She needed answers on what she was and how to find the man she still loved more than living.

"And now that we know what happened, and who exactly the Dark Lady is...things are going to get complicated. It also makes you realize just why she was able to evade you for so long. But what I don't get is...why call herself the Dark Lady? Why not come to you guys?" The Doctor asked, though he knew that neither one of them had an answer.

" I think Anne is the only one who can truthfully answer those questions. It looked like Roger had been knocked out and taken. Makes sense to why Nick put other bodies in the coffins. Maria was the driver that was supposed to take Wang to the airport and knowing Fury, he was concerned about the information Wang had with him on Andrea and Skye. I know 8 years ago was when the information about HYDRA started being circulated. " Clint said and paused. " Wang wasn't right in the head after the incident at the hotel and was placed at one of our main bases in a secure room. Sadly he died last year when that base imploded because of an Asguardian object called the Tesseract or as I called it the cube. " He added not sure if The Doctor wanted to know about the whole incident last year.

Anne hoped this number was correct and dialed. It was the one the man had given her 9 years ago telling her it was important that she call The Doctor. Anne now suspected that man was a future version of the Doctor and the same one who had tried to rescue her from those men when she was 4. Anne knew somehow her girls were together and wanted to see them , but didn't know how she would be able to explain what happened to her.

Andrea was spending time with Skye and her grandma while they all were wating for The Doctor to arrive back. She had a nagging feeling that somehow her mom was still alive, but didn't know how to tell Skye about this feeling.

(sorry about yesterday. Got home from work and just crashed. Also,I don’t think the Doctor has a phone, but then again, he does have very good hearing…I guess we can use that to get in direct contact with the Doctor, despite where/when he is)


The Doctor blinked as he started hearing a beeping inside his head, knowing exactly who it was. “Alright. And Clint, there is no such thing as crazy, it’s only when you want to hold onto a belief that can never come true is when a word such as crazy is determined,” The Doctor replied after listening to Clint, curious if Wang had said anything during his tenure there. He’d have to check in on that later. Noticing that the beeping was getting louder, he sighed lightly. “Alright, alright already, jeez…” he replied as he held up a hand, signifying that he wasn’t talking to the male archer. “Hello, how did you get this number?” he asked.

(That's fine. I crashed too yesterday. I think the TARDIS does, since there was one in The Bells of St John and that he was talking to Kate Stewart during the 50th. But that's just me.)

" I was given it by a man nine years ago. I assume you know who this is." Anne said in her formal tone she used when she portrayed Dark Lady. " Doctor I've been waiting that long to contact you since I have a feeling you know the truth about what happened at the Lotus Hotel. I will tell you more if you come to Hong Kong , and if you have others with you bring them too."She continued

(I haven't seen the 50th anniversary or the Xmas special yet :( )

"Dark Lady...I see. And I will," he said before he stopped talking to the person and noticed that Clint was curious as to what that was all about. "Sorry you two, but before we get back to Nick and the others, we need to make a little detour," he replied as he put in the destination.

" To see Dark Lady? Or should I say Anne? This is way too confusing to me. I have a feeling even Stark understands why she changed appearance."Clint said and sighed, thinking a bit about this. "I am so over thinking this."He added since he tried not to think much about Aliens after last year.

Leana giggled at Clint's behavior. "So..we're going to be meeting Andrea's mother?" she asked.

" We will be. Now I know why she throws knives at me when I see her. Anne is very talented with using knives and swords in combat but I know she won't throw them at either of you. Just me. " Clint said. " Fury is going to have the shock of his life when he finds this out. " He added.

Anne made some tea knowing this would be a stressful meeting. She didn't shift threw time like she use to but could feel like she was one with time as it passed.

"Oh? And why is that?" The Doctor asked, curious.

" Offically Anne is dead. I don't think anyone can handle another resurrection really. Since Coulson was dead for 7 minutes and most of us didn't know he was alive till a few days ago. " Clint explained. " Maria was blaming herself for Anne's and Roger's deaths since she was the driver that was to take Wang to the airport. Originally it was supposed to be Agent Rossen but she had backed out at the last minute. Though Maria , Phil and Agent May were the ones who got Andrea out of Japan without any trouble. " He added.

"I guessed that. I was asking as to why she would only throw weapons at you Clint," The Doctor responded as they landed in the correct place. Now all they had to do was find Anne.

" She wanted to test if I was paying attention. Same reason why I hide in the rafters and shoot the Nerf guns." Clint said.

Anne heard the familiar sound of the TARDIS materializing and stepped out of the building she worked and lived in. She had her long black hair high on her head and was dressed in a black and red Chinese style dress. Anne was nervous to who the Doctor had with him hoping it wasn't Andrea.

"Ladies first," The Doctor said as he opened the door, knowing that the TARDIS never appeared in broad daylight or amongst crowds, one of the two.

Anne kept out of sight for now wanting to see who was here. She saw a young woman exit firsts and then saw Clint. Anne was always happy to see her old friend even if he didn't know who she really was. " Things will be fine just as long as I didn't have to face Nick. How am I going to explain the last 9 years?" She thought to herself.

The Doctor stepped out of the TARDIS last before closing the door, locking behind him like she always did. Seeing Anne in front of him, he smiled lightly. "It's been a while, hasn't it...well technically anyways," he said with a grin on his face.

"It has. " Anne said not wanting to use that persona she had built for herself. " Hello Barton. It's good to finally say a civil hello to my friend. " She said with a grin.

" It's good to know that this whole time you were on My side Annie. "Clint said using the nickname she disliked the most.
" Watch it. We should get inside. There are always ears in the alley. " Anne said and led them to the building.

The Doctor chuckled lightly at that, and followed the others.

" Hope you enjoy the tea. Though I use to dislike tea very much. Thought it was just leaf juice." Anne said with grin. It was good to be her old self for a change. " You all probably have questions that you want to ask me."

"We do, but I'll let the Doctor or Leana go first." Clint said giving a grin at the possible reference to Avatar: The Last Airbender which was one show he liked for some reason and knew Anne had a tendency to reference things when nervous.

"Why didn't you try contacting Coulson or anyone about your change?" Leana asked, curious.
